I'm asking a dumb question....dumb because I asked it before & can't remember the answer :lmao:

Who's dealing with the group block at the Doubletree in San Pedro??

Thanks!

MickeyMom923, but haven't seen her on here in a long time.

That sounds horrible. :wizard: hope you feel better very soon.

We are also weighing coming in early vs. the day of the cruise. We are so cautious that i goes against our grain to come in the day of the cruise, but since we'd be coming from the east coast and arriving in the a.m., I guess we'd be alright. Anyone know what traffic would be like on a Sunday from LAX to the port? Does Disney do any kind of shuttle doing this route?

We are defiantly coming at least the day before, but I am trying to decide if we want to come 2 days before to check out DL. I don't want to chance some crazy airline delays the day of. I want to give myself at least a day of travel in case of delays.

I saw one of my dear DIS friends this weekend and her family is booked for the inaugural Fantasy sailing. We were talking about the dates... we leave one day after they get back.
It made me Wonder... is anyone doing a back to back?

Another fun day behind us. Today was lunch at Tepen Edo. Then got a glass of Sake from the Sake bar. After that one of my friends dared me to pound a Singapore Sling. I took her up as she was paying. After that got a Lime Slush with Grey Goose in it, then right after that a Mai Tai from the Hawaii stand vto top it off my friends new fiancé and I went on the more intense Mission Space right after the Mai Tai's. I was impressed I did not loose it. After that it was time to meet my friend from DCL to do some shopping. When shopping was done dinner was at the Electric Umbrella. After that off the Magic Kingdom for EMH. Tonight that ended at 1A.M. Awesome. First we went on Jungle Cruise, then the cheep imitation if Pirates they have here, after that was Splash, then Big Thunder. Following that was the Haunted Manssion. That new interactive line is cool and so is the new ending. After that was Small World, Space 2X, Buzz, and finally the Peoplemover. Tomorrow I am doing a beer tasting at Food and Wine at noon. The only other thing is Ohana at 6:25.

hello all!
I am booked on this cruise and just found this thread. I havent had time to read all the way through yet but I am sure, as always, there will be alot of useful info and things that I have not even thought of yet. Since I have been to 3 of the 4 Islands ports for this cruise we will be wanting to rent a car to see some favorite and new things. I will be looking for info on rental cars in the ports unless there is already info somewhere on all these pages lol

I (42 years young)will be traveling with my mom (62 years young) and we are looking forward to this trip. No children this cruise for us.

Our most recent Disney cruise was on the Magic in the Med this year and this Hawaii cruise will be my 8th.

Cant wait to see everyone and Aloha!!!:goodvibes

We should try to meet on board. I am 64 and traveling with my 41 yr. old daughter. Our last Disney cruise was the Inaugural Alaska this spring. We did a 15 day cruise to Hawaii a few years ago and loved it. But can't wait to experience Disney style!

Sorry to see some jumping ship to October, we will be sticking to this sailing - we've got unchangeable flights and the timing works better anyway :rotfl2:

Its weeks since I've checked in and I've skipped a huge amount of pages so please forgive anything I've missed. I'd promise to try and check in more regularly from now on but I suspect until I get back from my trip in November, chances of that happening are slim. I can only focus on one trip at a time. ;)

But I'll try...

Got our airline tickets last night. As much as I dislike Delta that's what we're flying. Southwest didn't have a direct flight and Delta did.

I haven't decided exactly when we will fly in yet. It will be at least the day before. But, not sure if we'll come in a couple days to do DL or not. It will depend on my work schedule and how much time I will need to book off.

Jon

Are you flying from Detroit? Just wondering what kind of price you got (we will be flying from Detroit as well and was hoping for a slightly better price with SW)

Watch for United 1 day sales. I was about to fly out of Flint to save a few hundred and then check DTW one last time and we got round trip flights for $180 with all taxes included. The next day they were back to around $410-440.

I'm getting a little restless.....when in the world will DCL come out with Hawaii excursions? I would like to see what they will offer. I know I'm not the only one waiting....but it's October and still nothing.....come on DCL.....

Port Adventures will not be out to until at tge earliest the beginning of Dec. My friend at DCL is thinking more like mid Dec. We will all just have to wait. That is not going to change no matter how many complain to DCL.

Thanks, :surfweb: @ least we have a someone of a date now!

Robin & Angel "D" :thumbsup2

Hope you are all doing well. We are still in Orlando after our WBTA cruise. Had a week in our nicest room yet at the BCV and had a great time. Now at a vacation home for 4+ weeks so really chilling. I won't want to go home I know. We aren't doing the parks much and only popped into 3 last week for short visits. Boy it was hot but it has cooled slightly this week so much more comfortable out and about.

HI .. could I join up in this meet? I'm 51 travelling with my 21 year old daughter!

Also ... just noticed that The Avengers will be premiering on May 4... Maybe if we all call and bug them, we can get a Prem-Ear on the Wonder :worship:

I could swear I saw a post over the last few days that said Aulani would NOT have their own luau as they are near neighbors to one of the big luau places (Paradise Cove?). :confused3

Unless things change in the next six months, no, they aren't offering a luau. They have a show called Starlight Hui a few nights a week, instead. It's supposed to be for Aulani guests only, though I don't know how they keep non-guests from watching way in the back since it's in the open. Based on descriptions, I think some of the entertainment and activity is similar to what is offered at a luau.

Just checked Southwest for flights out of Providence, RI and Boston...no direct flights, makes me feel better about booking my flights early. We're flying US Air one way and American the other, direct flights.

We will be heading down to the Food and Wine festivle Saturday, our aniversary is Monday and we have rezzies at Victoria and Alberts...very exicted. Staying at the Beach Club so we can just walk on over to Epcot every evening for snacks and drinks before bed.

We will be coming into LAX around 11:30 on Delta on the 28th. If anyone is staying at the Doubletree and would like to share a van let me know.

It seems like its going to be a great mix of people and so much fun.
Luckily we live in So Cal and will not have to worry about flights. In fact since I'm off work for medical we hit Disneyland today just to walk around and enjoy the decorations.
With all the days at sea I hope they add alot of special presentations.
