There are others besides threebritts from the WBPC 2008 who are coming to Hawaii with us but very busy this fall with medical issues, jobs, kids and family issues. Now that they know they are going and are paid in full I suspect they will be more active.

I think Marilyn dropped out, too.

My mother-in-law passed away last evening (Alzheimers), so you KNOW I wasn't on line at midnight. However, I remembered to do it this morning - got Palo dinner on Pirate night, Palo Brunch on day 11, and the adult Volcano national park tour.

Happy New Year, Everyone.

Sorry for your loss.

Am I the only one that can't book excursions until the 15th? Is there anything left?

No you're definitely not the only one! :lmao: Our entire table (except us) are Gold and so they can't book for a couple weeks either. I'm sure that DCL held back some bookings for gold, silver, and new cruisers :thumbsup2

Happy New Year fellow cruisers......

Please excuse my absence from here for the past few weeks. My step dad was sick in the hospital for a couple of weeks and then he passed away. After his funeral, my husband was in the hospital with chest pains. He's out and he's fine now. But I've been a little busy with real life.

I know everyone is PIF and booking many things. I don't have to PIF until Feb 12th and it's a good thing too, I can't even think about that right now with all that has been going on in my life.

But I need to let you know about scheduling the Champagne Girls!!!!!!!!!! So get your PINK on and here's the update:

DCL will NOT let me book it until 2 weeks before sailing. I'm going to request the last sea day before we hit the islands or if not, then the second to last sea day before we hit the islands. I don't want to do it when we first hit the ocean.....we may have rough seas. Nearer to land, I'm hoping it will be calmer. My last CG was the first Alaskan and we had rough seas and it wasn't as nice as calm seas. My third choice would be the first sea day after we leave the islands. With all of those sea days that we have I think I'll get one of my top 3 choices. I will ask to have it held from 2-4pm so that more people can attend. If you have any questions, please PM me. I'll get back to you as quickly as possible....barring any unforseeable hospital stays.

OK, now I have a lot of catching up to do on the thread.

Just popping in to say yes, there is a separate Platinum waiting area & it's pretty strictly enforced as well. Everyone who sat there had to show a #2 boarding pass to remain in the area, even though it was pretty sparsely filled when we were there a couple weeks ago (#1 pass was concierge & special needs).

Oh, that is great, thank you for the update!

And.....experience has taught me to book Palo FIRST, excursions second. It just seems the Palo bookings go a lot faster - even though with all those sea days there will be tons of opportunities to eat there. :thumbsup2

Yes, if Palo were more important too me or if I needed a certain date/time that would have been advisable. But, this time around there were some excursions that I could not go without and I did not know how popular they would be. (I had no idea the Plantation/Train ride would be so popular, so I am glad I booked that). I know I can book Palo once on board, and even if not this is not our last cruise, so I can eat there again. But this is our first time to Hawaii and a trip of a lifetime for DMiL, so excursions were my top priority.

I am also hoping for Volcano and Macadamia Nut Factory Adults Only at Hilo. Graham wants to do the cycling excursion, but that is not my thing.

Great! David and I would love to do an actual excursion with you, though our walk to to boat in Aruba was lovely as well. I hope you are able to book!

If there are multiple names for your party on the spreadsheet, could you also advise if you are taking part as individuals or as a couple/ family/ group?

Corrina, David and I are doing it together and DMiL will be separate. Everything should still be the same as noted on the spreadsheet.

I am so sorry for your loss.

We can now say this year we are going to cruise to hawaii!:thumbsup2

That is what DH and I said to each other at midnight! LOL :cool1:

Oh, it seems as if you have had a rough few weeks. My thoughts are with you and your family. :goodvibes

Any of those days would be great, good thinking witht he movement of the seas. The tastings will make us sway enough! I am sure what you plan will come together excellently!

No, you are not the only one....I'm silver so I need to wait for your leftovers LOL, I hope you will get excursions you want :)

But I noticed there is a lot more platinum members here then and other (gold/silver)...nothing against you guys...it only scares me that there will be not much left on Jan 30th. I know, I know...I keep saying that...I'll stop, I promise :)O LOL

Welcome back Deb!! Can't wait to do Champagne Girls again! Again, my deepest sympathy on the loss of Ray!

:surfweb: Opening May 4th: The Avengers
Which is distributed by Walt Disney Pictures....

So I would say that this would be a guess for me to have a world premier.

Synopsis: The Avengers will bring together the super hero team of Marvel Comics characters for the first time ever, including Iron Man, Captain America, Thor, The Hulk and more, as they are forced to band together to battle the biggest foe they’ve ever faced.
Robert Downey ... Tony Stark / Iron Man
Scarlett Johansson ... Natasha Romanoff / Black Widow
Samuel L. Jackson ... Nick Fury
Jeremy Renner ... Clint Barton / Hawkeye
Chris Evans ... Steve Rogers / Captain America
Chris Hemsworth ... Thor

Happy New Year Cruisers

I sure hope so! My 4-yo is ready to pack his Iron Man costume for the premEAR. Today he is lounging in his Jedi costume watching the Star Wars marathon, and we may bring that costume to since we'll be onboard May 4th.

Would anyone sailing with young kids (mine are 2 months shy of 5yrs, and 2yrs), and staying at Candy Cane Inn or maybe doing DL the couple of days before, be interested in a kids meet? Maybe so the kids could have a familier "friend" once we board and sail? My oldest would probably have more fun if he had somone his own age that he could hang out in the clubs with. Just and idea. :worship::confused3

With the talk of the Advengers, I am beginning to think I am the only one who is not excited about this movie. I think it is because I am not a Marvel Dan at all. The only Comic books I like are Batman and Superman. I will probably not go to a Premier on the ship, that would take away from bar time, but I will probably see the movie while on the ship.
