Today must be my lucky day. I have a new computer that actually works. :surfweb: I got prices at Candy Cane Inn. And today is one day closer to our cruise. I had to reserve a minimum of 15 rooms for the awesome group rate of $124 + tax for a standard room with 2 queen beds. They offer complimentary continental breakfast (which is fine with me since I'm going on the ship to eat:banana:) They are across the street from DisneyLand and they offer free shuttle service to DL.

I also had to reserve a minimum of 15 rooms for the Doubletree San Pedro. Their price is $139 + tax. It's $25 more for a marina view. Breakfast is at an extra cost.

I also had to reserve a minimum of 15 rooms for the Hyatt Regency in Long Beach. Their price is $189 + tax. Breakfast is at an extra cost.

I will get back to you with pricing for Paradise Pier and Queen Mary.

It would be great if we can have at least 15 rooms booked at each location. Even more would be great. I'll update this list with names and hotel over the weekend. In the meantime, just let me know where you want to stay and if it's 2 days or 1 day pre-cruise and how many need a room post cruise.

Bev:)

Hi Bev,

Is the group rate for the Candy Cane Inn for before the cruise or after?

Glad you're back!

Count us in also!

We will be there until Saturday morning. Hoping for Friday night shows and fireworks!!

I have booked our tours for Kauai and Hilo. Now to get a rental car for Maui. Undecided about Honolulu. I know what I want to do but not sure if we will do it with DCL or on our own.

I was able to get a studio at VGC this morning for 4 days post cruise. :yay::woohoo:

Oh, boy, oh, boy, we are booked at VGC too!!! (Only 3 days though, but that's OK.) :yay::yay::yay::dance3::cool1::cool1::woohoo::woohoo:

Us too!! Love, love, love those villas!! :cloud9:

We're doing 2 prior & 2 post....still looking at all the options for transport to the port - Super Shuttle, DLC transfers, private...or maybe driving since we live in central cali ($12 per day parking at the port), but no long term parking at DL, unfortunately....lots of options!!

.

This is great! We DISsers are taking over DL!

Help! We are coming in on the 28th and probably staying at the Doubletree (we hope). DCL will not provide a shuttle for the 28th, so we don't know what transport is available. Does anyone have any suggestions or know of any alternatives? Thanks :flower3:.

We are coming in on 28th too and staying at Doubletree in San Pedro. We will be using SuperShuttle to get from LAX to the hotel and later after the cruise from the port to hotel we are staying after the cruise.

Hi ... Got in the Grand Californian for post cruise ... staying 4 nights. Got a one bedroom, so will have laundry facilities :cool1:

Well, I officially got the OK to take off work for this cruise!:worship:

Guess I can start making some plans now, eh?

MONICA....expect a phone call this weekend! (Should I call before or after talking with Cheri on Sunday????)

Good thinking; that didn't even occur to me (yeah, after 2 months of having my DD, 3 yo DGD, and 2 mo. old DGD living w/me, my brains are swiss cheese :crazy2:).

Yay, Jackie. I believe you were originally going to be on last year's WBTA, so maybe this time we'll get to meet.

Yep, and that one moved to Panama and THEN moved to the EBTA!

Looking forward to finally getting to meet too!

Where are you staying after the cruise? I am thinking since we have a 1010 flight the day after we disembark, that we would stay at an airport hotel with a free airport shuttle.
I booked a DL package thru Disney for the 2 nights before. We are staying a the Candy Cane Inn and doing 2 days at DL, then leaving CCI the morning of the cruise to head to the port.

I wonder, just me thinking here, if there were enough of us staying at the Candy Cane Inn, if they would be willing to shuttle us from the hotel to the port, if even for a fee? That would save in alot of us needing to plan transportation from the hotel to the port? Anyone know if they thing this would be a possibility?

Since I live on west coast and daughter can't fly we never got involved in the vacation club because when it started years ago there was nothing at DL. So when and where did Disney VC villas appear in California?

Not sure yet where we are staying after the cruise, but it will probably be a hotel near LAX.

We were able to book a studio for 2 days post cruise :dance3::dance3:

Woo Hoo!!!:dance3:

I see fun, fun, fun in our future! :yay:

I tried before the cruise and couldn't get a studio OR a 1 bedroom.

Today was the 7 month booking date. I set my alarm to be up on FL time to book when they opened. Called exactly at 9 am EST.

Super Shuttle has always been dependable for us.
