Cayla,

I noticed on this cruise you are my next door neighbor. I'm 7638. Do you usually try to stay in the same level of cabin and have favorite deck? With 4 of the 5 :dance3: cruises this year on the wonder/magic design do you repeat the same cabin at all?

Just curious because this is only our 3rd Disney cruise and we have never been able to get the cabin we had the first time again...our favorite of any cruise line we have traveled. But this is the same cabin we had on the inaugural Alaska last April, purely by luck. Despite booking the first day we could getting any accessible cabin took months on a wait list :confused3

How about the rest of you gold and platinum members? Do you try for the same cabin usually or just any in the category you want?

Okay, so you inspired me to do a little "cut and pasting" myself...

For anyone who'd like it, here you go:

HulainHawaii.jpg

I love this. I think I might have to borrow this.

I haven't been on a cruise this long on DCL, but based on other cruiseline there typically is 2 formal nights for cruises this long. For anyone that has done a longer cruise with DCL, do they only have a single formal night? :confused3

Cute graphics everyone!

We did the Westbound Transatlantic in 2010 and the Panama Canal cruise in 2011 and for both we had two formal nights and one semi-formal night. So I was really surprised when I read on here that we are having one formal and two semi-formals for this cruise. For me it does not really matter as I will be wearing evening gowns for all three plus for our dinner at Palo.

I found this earings on Etsy....need to ask seller if she has them in different color....she has all sorts of Disney ones....

il_570xN.270519901.jpg

They are very cute.

Just off the WONDER and talked with my friend who is officer of merchandise; wrist bands will be given out so not as to repeat PC frenzy. Yeah:thumbsup2

Thanks for sharing.

Honestly wrist bands will not help. It needs to be done by the RSP prossess or they need to do more than 500 for a ship that holds 2000. All wrist bands will do is identify who waited in line. Oh well I guess I need to be ready for overnights waiting for a wrist band.

I have heard some reports from another cruise where they were giving out wristbands for the pins and this worked really well.

Hello all...DW was wondering what shows are appearing on the Wonder right now.....it has been so long since we were on the Wonder and I know that they have a lot of special shows but I know that they have the standard ones on each sailing....so if you know what they are could you please let us know....
Thanks!
Tom & Marilou

The three regular shows are Disney Dreams, Toy Story - Musical and Golden Mickeys. I am going to have to find my Navigators from the Panama Canal Cruise as there were two additional production shows on that.

Our favourite cabin is 6521, which is one of the sideways cabins on deck 6 forward. We have been lucky enough to have had this cabin on every second cruise. We were originally assigned this cabin out of GTY status for our very first cruise in September 2008. We then chose it for our Western Caribbean Cruise in 2009 and our Mexican Riviera Cruise in 2011. We also got it assigned out of GTY status for the Westbound Transatlantic in 2010. I have been eyeing availability of this cabin for a Western Caribbean cruise out of Galveston in November and until recently it was showing as available. Now it is not, but 6515 and 6511 are and I am sure they are every bit as nice.

Goos Morning Cruisers......Good News...DH has word that his leave was approved!!!! Long story, new system, but WHEW....

Best of Luck for those of you still waiting.....

thanks for the tips on the rental cars. I am still debating and trying to find out which company has the best pick-up service. The return time will make a difference in my planning for the Luau. Thanks for the tips.

With all the buzz on the pre-ordering discounts, I selected our shirts but NO Discounts, nope, none...I asked about AP, And was told it did not apply. I don't know if I had an inexperienced cast member??? Or if the policy keeps changing.

Cayla, good luck with your merchandise on the Fantasy and more importantly, Have Fun on the Fantasy. We want details when you return.

GTY...when do we learn our cabin numbers? this is the first time since our first cruise we have been GTY. We booked too late to grab our favourite cabin class. So, I check daily but am not sure.....

Pink....I turned the closet inside out and found a pink top and a pink Disney T.... Good, another item completed.....Not that I cannot go shopping :rotfl:But some of us are not pink girls. Hence the lack of pink in the closet.:cutie:

I guess that is my quoto of questions for the moment.....

have a good day all!

That skirt is adorable lucky people that can sew.

As far as this pin thing even if they give out wrist bands you have to wait hours for them and my legs could not take all that standing . Early dining did miss out. I don't think things will change but we can only hope it does

I hope there is a plan for the sale of limited Inaugural Hawaiian Cruise
merchandise for our cruise.

I have experienced good and not so good systems and have heard horror
tales of people lining up for hours, taking large quantities and the
people who came when the stores were supposed to open found nothing they
wanted.

PLEASE have some sort of order sheet were every guest gets a chance at*
each item before others can grab a large quantity to re-sell on e-bay at
inflated prices.

I suggest a display in a store window of the items and sample order
sheet with information about deadlines. This way everyone can see what
will be for sale and know when they can get what they desire.

Then place order sheets in staterooms and have the CMs STICK TO the
limits until the prearranged date for open sales. Items preordered can
be delivered to the staterooms at the convenience of the store CMs and
stateroom hosts.

Thank you for considering this.

Dear Jan,

Thank you for choosing another Disney Cruise Line vacation!

Your thoughtfulness in sharing your observations with ways we can
improve our cruise experience is much appreciated.

As far as some of the special merchandise for the inaugural Hawaii
Cruise, some of the items are already able to be pre-reserved.

You can order exclusive merchandise, stateroom celebrations, floral
arrangements, chocolates, food & beverage, and wines to be placed in the
stateroom on embarkation day by calling 800-601-8455 or 407-566-7000
Monday - Friday 8:00am - 10:00pm (ET) Saturday - Sunday 9:00am - 8:00pm
(ET).

A gift card will be completed to identify the person giving the gift,
along with a special message.

For the safety and security of our Guests, gifts are not able to be
purchased via email. Please do not send a credit card payment to us to
process.

You may view all of the available Gifts to order by going to
www.disneycruise.com > Planning Center > In–Room Gifts & Shopping >

I would like you to forward my suggestions to the ship board merchandise team.

The pictures in the website that you reference are too small. Details cannot be seen. No pins are shown. No key chains. No special Hawaiian jewelry.

Cruisers want to be able to see detail and all the items at once so we can purchase our favorites. Finding out later that something we would have liked better is only available now on e-bay for an inflated price takes away from the positives of the DCL experience.

When this type of on-board ordering is used the stores will not be crowded which it when items are more likely to be shop-lifted.

These are reasons why displaying them in a store window, providing order sheets and delivery to the cabins of purchasers is a preferable method.

I feel that when you contact Disney with concerns and suggestions they tend to sugar coat every response to you but end up going back to stating the policy that they have in effect. I usually don't bother letting them know how I feel since I don't think it means that much to them. That said, I still love the Disney product and they still do a good job. My DW and I always try to get the special merchandise from the crusies we go on but will not stand on line for hours for it. If we get it it is great--but if not it is OK also.

Same here. We were thrilled when we had the order forms on the 2008 WBPC in our stateroom and were able to get a full set of pins. We would not get in line in the middle of the night for any merchandise though. :sad2: We also will not buy on ebay at inflated prices. Although we love our pin collection, in the whole scheme of life, getting a pin or not really is not among the important to us.

I just got an offer from Azamara cruise line for Titanic Memorial Cruise.

departing from New York on the 10th April 2012 exactly 100 years to the day the Titanic left Southampton. Our 8 night voyage of a lifetime heads for Halifax where you will have the opportunity of visiting Fairview Lawn Cemetery where victims of the RMS Titanic sinking are buried and then to the site for the memorial service to commemorate the 100th year anniversary

Does anyone else find this kinda creepy?

*raises her hand* I find it creepy.

From what I hear, some people are hoping for ghosts on the ship.

It may just be me, but I don't want to be on a cruise that takes the same path the Titanic took.

Deb and I always try for the same cabin, 5122 on the Magic or Wonder, mostly for location reasons. closest to aft lifts, easy to reach our muster station, room service from Animators, closest to the water so the sound can put you to sleep, it is great. This cruise we had to settle for 5124 because 5122 is closed off for something! for my 60th birthday Deb booked a 1 bedroom on the Wonder for a 3 night. we decided that we would stick with 5122 (old habits I guess)

Lunchbreak....

Thanks for the attempts of suggesting Disney work on a system for the merchandise. I would hope with more days to work with, they could work out a system like was done in PC 2008. I was so caught up in things I missed my day or time, but the merchanise was still there.

Thanks for all the comments on the skirt...:blush::blush:My sewing machine is beside itself....it thought I had forgotten it.....

Our favourite cabin is 6142...anyone have it this cruise? Can we come visit? :hug:We are still GTY, waiting, waiting, waiting.

A Titanic Cruise :scared1:, creepy.

And a new subject....are we having a Mascot get together this cruise?

Very creepy, but my 8th grade grandson, who is currently into the "ghost hunting" phase would love it

Is this Stitch after standing in line for merchandise?????

Us too, but I'm with HappyGoofy - I Can't stand that long. The difference is that I ALWAYS critique their performance!
