Ok so it wasn't the most charitable post I've ever made, but I think you had to be there. Of course now I have this image of you with red hair and a white leather vest on a harley. :lmao:

It was a great post. :) Sometimes people go through strange phases in their life. Sounds like your friend is going through such a phase. Well, let's hope it's a phase. :scared1:

U TOP shared with Mary!

Good morning everyone! Had to wait until I got to work to log in as our home provider wasn't connecting.

You know the thing about my friend isn't even about the motorcycle, or the red hair or leather vest. It is the fact that she has so little self esteem that she had to completely change herself for a man. That and the fact that she felt she had to bring him to this lunch and force him to talk about himself and pay for the meal etc (well I don't know if she forced him but when the check came she took it and handed it to him). Anyway I think I would have been just as shocked if I had known her as a biker chick and she changed into some preppy stepford wife. Does that make sense? I just got the feeling all through lunch that by now being in a relationship she felt it made her look better which I find very sad. As long as she's happy I'm happy for her but I just think the whole thing changed our get together. The really funny thing is Mark said before I left that he wished he could go to so we could stop by Ikea which is right near where we had lunch. I told him sorry this was girls only and he totally understood. We instead went to Ikea yesterday right when they opened which is better than a Saturday afternoon anyway.

YIPPIE! Just got great news. We weren't going to do any acting camps for the kids this summer because of finances. Plus we wanted to be able to take the time to swim and go to the zoo and all that stuff.

But we got an email about a talent based scholarship to a two week intensive musical theater camp. So KT applied! YIPPIE! She got in! The cost was supposed to be $450, but it'll only be $25 b/c the registration fee can't be waived. YEAH! I'll probably spend the other $450 in gas getting her downtown every day for two weeks, but hey, it'll be fun!

Part of it is they get to see Wicked when it comes into town! That'll be really cool!!! :cheer2: :cheer2:

That is wonderful news! Congrats to KT!

great news! Josh is going to boyscout camp for a week. It costs $500. Gulp! But it's at Emerald Bay on Catalina Island and it's beautiful, and since it's so popular, the troops can only go every so many years, so who knows when it'll be his troop's turn again! Just couldn't say no! I am a bit worried because this is his first time at a sleepaway camp, I worry that he'll get homesick! A whole week...

Good morning everyone! Happy Tuesday!

Got our trip planning book in the mail yesterday for our October cruise. That one is only 20 weeks away! Can't believe how fast it is coming up.

Also got an updated confirmation sheet for this cruise as we put down one payment. We are 1/3 of the way paid up!

Hope everyone has a great day!

I'm so jealous you are cruising in October already, Mary! Wish I could go! What is the trip planner you are talking about? I am waiting for the Passporter 2008 edition to come out. I know most of what's in there I probably already know from the DIS, but I still want it!

I paid our cruise off in April, so glad it's done. I have never been so happy to spend money!

Rental car question...is Avis inside the Orlando airport, like Budget? Or is it off site? How much farther is Avis from the Port?

We are 5 months out and DCL sends a letter which says that your next Disney cruise is cloer than ever and enclosed is a travel kit filled with details to help plan your dream. The letter also indicates your sailing date and the date you can make you shore excursions, palo, etc.

The travel kit is a small book filled with different little bound booklets that pertain to your cruise. One is for shore excursions, one is quick tips, one is for stateroom gifts you can order, one called setting sail which is about your specific ship (in my case for this one the Wonder), and the last is about the vacation protection plan.

All in all a cute book but the information is all available online as well.

Good morning everyone! We are now all packed for Vegas. We leave early Saturday morning and come home on Wednesday. We have Saturday and Sunday together and then Mark has a trade show to go to on Monday and Tuesday so I'll be on my own those two days (at least during the day). We've never been before and should be fun.

Hope everyone has a great day!

Good morning everyone. Happy Thursday!

The weather forecast for today is for some nasty weather. High winds and rain. Yuck. Just hope all the trees stay in the ground. They say the winds could get to 75 mph :scared1:

We had problems all day yesterday and into this morning with our Verizon dsl DW did not get much of a line count she does medical transcription at home mostly types for hospitals in Chicago. wondering if any one can tell us do they sell Vera Bradly hand bags at the Havensight Mall in St. Thomas what other name brands are for sale

hi all! I am still working a lot. Only next week left for students, and then I am working 3 more days the following week and then...SUMMER!!! I am not going back until mid August, and school starts Aug. 29th! I get almost 2 months off! Yay! :cool1:

Well, the airfare is available for booking on Delta and United but pretty high! :scared1: Hoping it will go down by the end of summer!

Good morning all! One day left of work for me and then Mark and I leave for Las Vegas in the morning. We are bringing the notebook so I think I'll be on some.

Mike - can't answer your wife's specific question but I would suggest that she go to the shopping talk on board or stop by the desk when the shopping expert is there. They can point her right to the shops that will have it. The Havensight Mall has many of the same shops that are in downtown. In fact while I shopped downtown many years ago on our DCL cruises we've only gone to the mall.

Good morning Cruisers

We sail in 46 weeks!

Since I have a very early flight and don't think I'll be online in the morning I'm going to post this now.

Have a great trip! :) We'll miss you!!!!!

U TOP! Shared with Mary!

have fun in Vegas, Mary! My MIL lived there and we used to go all the time for the weekend. We have not been able to bring ourselves to go there ever since she past away. The thought of being there without seeing her is still too painful! :sad1:

Good morning everyone! Checking in from Vegas. Had a very easy flight out and a great time yesterday. We saw Blue Man Group last night and it was very cool. While we are enjoying ourselves Vegas sure doesn't have the appeal to us that Disney does.

Today we are off to explore more and go do the Star Trek experience. Hope everyone is enjoying their weekend.

on vacation all this week. When I go back we will only have about one week of school left to go. Have a couple of outdoor projects planned. Still surprising that more disboarders have not joined us.

I had big plans today to clean my house and do the laundry! Well, I didn't wake up until noon, which really shocked me when I looked at the time! They all let me sleep in, surprise, surprise! DH took the kids out to lunch and the pool supply store! I got up, and DD talked me into getting in the pool with her and that's what we have been doing for the past hour and a half! I did manage to put one load of laundry in! :rotfl: It's almost 2 now, and I need to get my butt in gear. My house is a mess since I have been working so much lately and just haven't had the energy to do much cleaning. And next week I am going to work a lot too. I'll be off Friday though, it's the last day of school. DD gets out at 12:10, but I'll probably check her out early. And DS 5th grade graduation is at 9am, I will probably check him out right after!

Ok, I am off to clean...
