Good morning everyone! Those pictures yesterday brought back some great memories of our May cruise and made me wish this one was closer. Have to be patient it will get here eventually. I did make a payment on the cruise yesterday so that's a start. :lmao:

I hear you. Yesterday I was thinking about the blabbermouth cruise and I realized that it will be two full years without cruising for us! Which is really weird for us....our first cruise was in May of 2003 and by the time May of 2006 rolled around we had done EIGHT cruises! Wow. Now nothing since then.

That will make this cruise that much more special! (either that or I'll end up eating my weight in creme brulee on the first night!) :lmao:

No matter what our rotation is!

Are you sure you don't want to come on the DVC Member Cruise. Oh sure you will be out west for most of the beginning of the month. And sure there is a little thing called OSU football games. But really! :lmao:

Well.....do you have an extra spot in your room? I can come without Mike and the kids. ;)

Sure! Now saying that I know you wouldn't be happy cruising without them. You aren't the escaping mom type.

I don't have to go in until 10 today! I was at Target at 8am. How nice. I got a parking spot in the very front and it was nice and empty! I should do it more often! Today is payday! Let's just say that all the extra hours are paying off!! I switched a huge chunk over to savings right away for the cruise! Once airfare is out all the way to May 3, 2008, I am going to check daily. I know it's still over 10 months away, but right now airfare is insane! :scared1:

We got some pretty good rates for our CA trip. Of course, it meant playing with dates a bit. And only 5 of the 6 tickets were the better rate (sigh)

We may be able to us FF miles for this trip. I think we both have enough now. Another reason to firm up the dates we are going.

Can we say long day? Left for work at 7:05 am, walked in tonight at 9:05 pm. Thank goodness tomorrow is Friday!

Good morning everyone. Couldn't get on the DIS until right now and now I have to leave for work. I was going through withdrawl...speaking of which Karen I posted over on the withdrawl board. :lmao:

Have a great day everyone!

When I first got on this morning it was done. My immediate thought was "DIS withdrawl board." But by the time I checked email and my blog reading list, it as back up. :) Whew. Disaster averted. :)

Happy Birthday to the DIS! It is 10 years old today!

I know it has been part of my life for the past 7 years and I've made a number of great friends because of it.

Well it is Friday at 8:18 and I'm still at work (but leaving shortly). No chat for me tonight.

Good morning Cruisers

We sail in 47 weeks!

Good morning everyone - happy Sunday!

Had a fun, but strange day yesterday. I met up with two women I used to work with. There used to be 4 of us that would get together once or twice a year for lunch and to catch up on each others lives and that of our fellow Sears employees (we all worked for Sears corporate at one time). Well one girl has moved to California so we don't see her except when she is in town which is rare. The one lady and I got together last year but the third in our group was saying every date we came up with didn't work so she never showed. So we try and get hold of her this year and she tells us that she moved in with this guy and they do all these biking (Harley) trips together. Ok no biggie as she was always one to walk to the beat of a different drum then me. So yes she would love to join us this year and even suggests a place. She lives closest to this place, she is the one that suggested it and the time yet she is the one who is almost 1/2 hour late! The other lady and I spend the time talking and catching up when this Harley pulls up and she gets off the back, flaming red hair down her back and a white leather vest. OK - now you have to understand this is a woman is 8-10 years older than me so she's pushing 60! Then the guy on the motocycle parks it and joins us! Um hello - this has always been just us. In the 13 or 14 years we've been doing this we have never included spouses or boyfriends. It was always a girls only lunch so that we could chat and gossip and just be girlfriends. To say the lunch was a bit akward would be an understatement especially when he then picked up the tab. :confused3

So it was a bit of a study in human nature. The one person in our group who moved to California has always been the most independent and the most secure as to who she is. I've always admired that about her. The second who I have gotten together with the most is also very secure in who she is, is single but has a large group of friends and has a very social life. I'm kind of a home body, pretty insecure around those I don't know but with a small group of friends. I always knew this 4th in the group was probably the most insecure by some of her comments and actions in the past, but I never thought she'd be one to change her lifestyle so completely over a guy. I honestly got the feeling that the reason she brought him yesterday was to show us all she had someone and that somehow increased her self worth. Thing is she's a really nice person and we like her for who she is. Whether or not she has a man in her life doesn't change that at least to me.

No, I've just been busy dying my hair back to brown, selling the Harley, and listing the white leather vest on ebay. :(

Ok so it wasn't the most charitable post I've ever made, but I think you had to be there. Of course now I have this image of you with red hair and a white leather vest on a harley. :lmao:

*scratching the white leather jacket and red hair dye off my packing list* :rotfl: :lmao:

oh, wanted to add something about the "sudden change" your friend experienced. My mom is divorced from my bio dad, and remarried when I was about 14. She was with the guy for 10 years before she married him. I never liked him much. She divorced him after 3 years of marriage because she met this much younger man. I always thought it was some sort of midlife crisis. She was about 40 or so. Can you have a midlife crisis at 40 or is that too young? :rotfl: The guy was 30 and totally into motorcycles, etc. Mom learned to ride a motorcycle, dressed like she was 18, cut her hair real short, dyed it red, and changed so much...I didn't even know who she was anymore! It wasn't just her looks, it was the way she acted, talked, music she started listening to, everything. She ended up marrying that guy (!) and is still married to him. But ever since she's met him, our relationship has been really weird. I was very close to my mother in law, closer than I was to my own mother, and after she died I was devestated. Well, my mother was actually jealous because I loved her so much. You'd think that a mother would be happy if her daughter got along so well with her inlaws!
