Good morning everyone! Happy Monday!

Had a great day yesterday and saw a lot. Started the day taking the monorail over to the MGM and then walked over to the M&M store. Very fun! I like the one in Orlando better but this one was cool. We then went over to the Tropicana and took in the Titanic exhibit. We never got around to seeing it when it was in Chicago. Then we walked back through MGM and saw the lion habitat there.

We then took the monorail over to the Hilton to go see the Star Trek experience. We are both big Star Trek fans. We bought the package that took us on both rides, the back stage tour and some photos. Well worth it! We even had lunch at Quarks bar and grill. It was a full afternoon as we were there at the opening at 11:30 and didn't finish until 5. Went to get the monorail back and found out it was closed and had been down for over an hour. We went back into the resort and went to thier 24 hour cafe for a light dinner. By then the monorail was back up and running.

Today is Mark's first day at the show and my first day on my own. Heading out to do some shopping. Mostly window shopping I'm sure. :)

Have a great day everyone!

on vacation all this week. When I go back we will only have about one week of school left to go. Have a couple of outdoor projects planned. Still surprising that more disboarders have not joined us.

Mike I'm not really surprised that we don't have more DISers. A large number of DISers have already been on at least one cruise and then tend to go for the newer and bigger cruises. The west coast, the repos, etc. whatever is hip. I know the repo over to the Med and a lot of the Med cruises are full of DISers and I think the same thing will be true in 2008. Still I think we will most likely pick up a few more families as we get closer to sailing. Either as people change their plans or as new people find the DIS.

I am a camp counselor this summer at a day horse camp. Today I had 11 children. Anyone want to trade summers?

Good morning everyone! Happy Tuesday!

This is our last full day in Vegas. Mark is going back to the show and I'm going to do some more walking around. Went and saw the Bellagio,Ceasar's Palace and the Mirage yesterday. We were both too tired after walking around yesterday to go back out last night so I don't think we'll end up seeing the water show at Bellagio. Maybe tonight if we aren't beat.

oh no! A few weeks ago, I lost a filling in one of my teeth! Since I HATE, HATE, HATE going to the dentist, I have been putting off making an appointment. Then, DH chipped his tooth last week or so. They patched it up, but have him scheduled for next week to get a crown. So I thought that I'd wait a month or so before I go in, since I wasn't in pain or anything. Well, this morning, I brushed my teeth and I hit my toothbrush on that tooth, and it broke the whole tooth in half!!!! The half that broke off is on the inside, next to the tongue, so you can't see it, but I made an appointment for tomorrow. They are going to have to put a crown on it since there is no way they can fill it in. Even with our dental insurance paying 70%, it's going to cost quite a bit of money between my dental work and DH's! UGH!!!!

Kay your getting off cheep at the dentist is just finished orthodontist visits and now my dentist decides I need caps 3 across the front left side due to a tooth I had pulled in the Navy 30 years ago insurance pays 1/2 for 2 and nothing for the third. maybe we should have encouraged our oldest to be a dentist instead of a accountant

I took a sick day today! My appt. isn't until 11:30, but I have a MAJOR dentist phobia and I knew I couldn't get anything done at work before I go anyway. I am so scared and nervous. I had a really bad experience as a child, when I had a cavity and the dentist drilled, and I felt it, and raised my hand, as he told me to do if I feel anything, and he wouldn't stop and kept on drilling...I have been deathly afraid of the dentist ever since! :scared1: Wish me luck today! I'll just keep thinking of the cruise as I lay there...

We're home! We can now check Vegas off as one of those places we should see before we die. :) Not saying we won't ever go back because we most likely will at some time, but give me WDW any day!

Woo Hoo - a UTOP. PDFG and all who need it.

Yeah, Mary's back, Mary's back! Not like we haven't been in touch. ;)

I'm one of the "no desire to go to Vegas" girls. So many other places I'd rather see. Of course, if Mike had a conference there, I'd go. Especially if the kids stayed with Grandma and Grandpa! ;)

Kay I had the same experience as a child guess what it did I bit the Dentist's finger hard. after he finished he told my mom she could never bring me to him again.

We've wanted to go for years for one reason and one reason only - The Star Trek Experience. Yes, we are trekkies. In fact we met at a sci-fi convention at a room party for an obscure British Sci-Fi show.

Of course the fact that Mark's boss paid for the airfare and hotel really helped. There were a number of things we loved.

Went to the wax museum and got my picture taken between Capt. Jack Sparrow and Will Turner.

Saw the Blue Man Group and loved it!

Did the Titanic exhibit (since we missed it when it was in Chicago).

The Star Trek Experience as awesome. Spent the better part of a day there including a back-stage tour of the experience. Very cool.

Toured a number of the hotels. Some I loved and some I didn't. Really didn't care for where we stayed (Harrah's). The room was nice and clean but thin walls and we heard our neighbors every night and since no one seems to sleep in Vegas and we are usually in bed by 10 it was a little hard. Also I thought the decor of our hotel casino was a little too tacky for my taste. Felt like I was on a Carnival Cruise instead of a Disney Cruise (which is what Bellagio reminded me of).

welcome back, Mary!! We missed you! Glad you enjoyed Vegas. I know what you mean about rather doing Disney though...if it wouldn't have been for my MIL living there, I don't think we would have gone too much. She passed away 4 years ago, and we haven't been back since. We were never much into the party scene, well...we were before we had kids, now all the drunks and yelling around people just annoy me. We were there once during New Year's. I guess it's something you have to experience at least once, but I wouldn't do it again! We saw the Titanic exhibit years ago, when it was in Vegas. Really enjoyed it, but then, I find anything to do with the Titanic fascinating!

In other news, I am back from the dentist. They did a full mouth x-ray and determined that I need a lot of work done. The tooth that broke did not get fixed yet, because she said I have different options, and she is going to put it all together for me, and also the cost we have to pay (our dental is only covering 70 - 80%) and send it to me. Since it's not painful, I guess I can wait another week or so. Since I have been there last (I admit, it's been a while :scared: ), they got a new dentist in the office, a woman, and I had her today. She is VERY nice and really put my mind at ease. She explained everything to me, and was very gentle! I told her I want her to do all my treatments! Maybe I'll change my mind about going to the dentist after all!

That beats our "how we met" story! :)

We saw Titanic when it was here in Columbus. Very very cool and moving. Blue Man group looks pretty neat. Someday we'll have to see that (although I want the non-poncho section!) Fancy hotels...gonna have to save that for Disney (DVC) and the Hotel Del Coronado in San Diego!

I'm glad you had a good time! I like vacation when there isn't any cleaning, cooking, etc!

Kay - glad to hear that some of your fears of the dentist have gone away. Hopefully the work won't be too painful or too expensive.

Trust me we didn't sit in the poncho section. We were in the front row of the balcony. The cool thing is they even came up by us. It definately is an experience.

Good morning everyone! Back to work for me today. At least it is only for 2 days. Then I can tackle the mountain of laundry since I never got around to some of it before we left.

Ok, I'm going to need all of your help!

I'm entered in a photo contest. Starting Friday, the voting is turned over to the general public. So I need you to help me win. The theme is "Humor" and I'm submitting this picture:

Next week I only have 3 half days and then SUMMER VACATION until August 21st! :woohoo: :yay:
