April 26 - May 3, 2008 Caribbean Crazy Cruisers Part 2!

Yup.

I think they just want to whip all our butts in LRC and walk away with enough money to book the next cruise!

Hmmm, maybe I should pack extra dimes.

Or better yet, maybe they should pack their OWN dimes! ;)

But have you decided when (and where) the next cruise is??? You know just in case we want to stalk you.

Whoo Hoo a UTOP with Karen!

PDFG and all our friends who need it.

Nope. No idea where we are going cruising next.
Mike has planned us a two week WDW vacation this October. Seems to think it'll be no big deal even though KT will be in high school. Thinks she'll be just fine taking work along with her to do in the room while the Magic Kingdom is around the corner.

My vote is to buy it before you get on the ship. Perhaps Walmart would be your cheapest option. At least you'll have the peace of mind knowing that you've got it and won't have to worry about getting it later.

There is a Walmart on the way from MCO to the cruise terminal, in Cocoa. Someone posted a map on the main boards. It would only be 2 minutes out of your way.

Naw I don't think I can have the "bus" take a detour for me to get suntan lotion :) Ok I'll get it here at Walmart. Thanks

When I woke up this morning I already thought it was Wednesday. Each hour goes by slower than the one before. We are 90% packed, and the "to do" list is getting smaller and smaller.

DD 3 plans to visit the Oceaneers Club. I noticed there where 2 other 3 year olds in this group - yeah! We are staying at The Country Inn and Suites and taking their shuttle over to the ship on Saturday. Zerog, looking forward to hearing more about your son learning to read so early.

Have a great day everyone!

Speaking of t-shirts. We'll be in lime green ones which should make us easy to spot in inthe terminal and at the DIS meet. They have Castaway Cay on the back so if you see us stop by and say hi.

We should be easy to identify as well - just look for the family with the son that is climbing on all the walls and ceiling. :hyper: :hyper: :hyper: Everyone in the terminal will probably know his name before we even get on the ship. :hyper:

I think our kids are going to hang close to us this trip. KT is officially a "teen" and is underwhelmed at the teen program on board. I am going to talk to the CM's about the possibility of her attending the Lab functions (she is 13, so only a bit older than the normal age), but at least that gives her an option if she's bored or we want to get off the ship and she doesn't.

Nick...not too sure what he'll do. We've cruised many times before and once you've made Flubber 7 times, it kinda loses it's novelty. So he may hang with us more than normal anyway.

It'll be interesting to say the least.

And I KNOW they'll eat dinner with us every night. Something about not wanting chicken nuggets and mac-n-cheese with the kids club when they can have steak and salmon with us. :)

My daughter Gabrielle (or Gabie as she likes to be called) is 13 also, and will be looking for some friends to hang around with. Maybe our daughters can get together and pal around for this trip!!! :yay:

How much of an effort does the cruise line make when you request to be seated with a certain number of people. For instance, if it's just the 2 of us and I requested the largest table, do you think there is chance that we will get a table all to ourselves (which we don't want).

OK, I be lurking again - this time, reading the cruise meet right after us (May 3rd Western). This is their roll call list below. We've gottem beat by sayyyyyyy 65 people. The crazy cruisers rock! :thumbsup2

The question is - how many crazy cruisers are actually going to come out of the woodwork and say hello? If someone recognizes me, I can't promise in-depth deep conversation. If you say something and I just stare at you, its probably because I am trying to think of something to say. I'm really better at spewing out useless posts on the internet. :lmao: Here, I have more time to gather my thoughts. Even still, you should only know how many times I hit "preview post" and have to edit before some of my tidbits of drivel and sarcasm make it to the final copy.

This is the 10 day extended forecast for Port Canaveral.
Out of those 10 days, the UV index is rated 11 (Extreme) on 9 days.
Only one day is rated a 10 (Very High) - Saturday April 26.
Is this a good sign or what?
Ok, maybe I'm reaching.

Sorry I don't understand what you are askingor saying rather. Are you saying that a very high UV is good or bad?

That was a rhetorical question.

Defined: A rhetorical question is a figure of speech in the form of a question posed for rhetorical effect rather than to receive an answer.

A rhetorical question that intends the communication of "yes, of course".
Examples:

* Is the Pope Catholic?
* Is the sky blue?
* Is the ocean salty?
* Is the sun hot?
* Is this guy kiddin'?

Randy - there isn't any rules about posting links. There are a few sites that are filtered and will come up as ****. The only rules are you should try to go around that by posting things with spaces etc.

Um I know what a rhetorical question is...I was asking about UV index as I was not sure what you were referring to...meaning, a high UV is bad for sunburn type thing. Geez NEVER MIND. Looks like you should have spent a little more time editing THAT response.

We are about 90% packed here. And Have gathered all the paper work together put with suite cases. camera bags memory sticks film and video tapes packed all batteries charged. just a few more things to pack tomorrow.

My bad! A friend of mine used to tell me to say only half the things I want to say - and then I'll only get in trouble half the time. :)
