Looking at the Disneyland website, Matterhorn isn't on the refurb schedule until May 5 now. I wonder if that is a change, or they are still updating the schedule?

Just a hunch - but I bet that's because of the delay on Small World. Either they want another ride open over that weekend, or there's a (maintenance) staffing issue caused by the delay. (Or both.)

I dont know what they are planing on doing. I dont think it is supposed to be as extensive as the railroad and Small World.

I don't know. They've been rebuilding it little by little over the past several years in 1 to 2 month increments to reinforce the structural integrity.

I read Redwood Creek was closed, is this still the case as Chip and Dale still seem to be meeting on Buena Vista St. does anyone know how long they are going to be there for? Would love to meet them in their different outfits.

Shame that the pathway is going to be closed. I wonder how that will impact rope drop crowds, vs early entry crowds...

Matterhorn seems to be closed for my whole 9 day trip and also the Tiki Room. As I haven't been since 2012 its disappointing, but could be worse I guess.

Oh, that makes me sad...it is a marvelous place to retreat to at night, not many people there...it is quiet(er)...I like to go there and watch the cars dance on my way to RSR for last ride of the night...that ride just fascinates me for some reason...wish I could ride it...

The Disneyland app has been updated and it looks like you can still watch the cars dance.
The Cars characters usually drive in from the region where the red arrow is. I haven't been to the park to verify, but I'm guessing that they left that access open.

Love your dancers...thanks for update...and yes, I do agree...restrooms are in short supply in that area...the one in AC is SO SMALL!

It's marked as closed on the far end of the available calendar - June 10th.

As far as we know, it's the periodic extensive maintenance that they have to do to keep it running. (It sounds like they're doing extensive track work section by section, one section per closure, over the span of years.) When they did this in 2023, it was six weeks.

Exactly, it's periodic maintenance to methodically update the old infrastructure. They missed last year because of the HM and TBA closures.

They also delayed the refurb start date by a week to the first Monday of May due to Small World having a delayed reopening. I would assume Matterhorn reopens in mid to late June.
