And it is the last days of the So Cal Ticket sale as well.So much going down, its a shame they didn't do this closer to the start of the year...spring break is going to be busy and lots of rides and attractions going down. (yes yes the 70th...but wish they worked them out in Jan/Feb)
Also this to me shows why Lincoln opening in May would have been a good thing as well, at least to me
Agreed. This should have been done earlier. Especially Soarin. Could have done it before the switch to the California show.So much going down, its a shame they didn't do this closer to the start of the year...spring break is going to be busy and lots of rides and attractions going down. Yeah, like I don't hate they are getting things ready but its a lot at once when we have had months to get things readyAgreed. This should have been done earlier. Especially Soarin. Could have done it before the switch to the California show.
There's my little trump card there now. Either push for early May or late June. Hopefully those reopen by late June.
I didn't see your original post. Soarin is only over California during the Food & Wine Festival.Edit - I found it, it changes back to Soarin Around the World on April 22.
@BrianL wrote the following when comparing the attraction at WDW to that at DLR. "Buzz Lightyear Space Ranger Spin - Similar, but guns are on swivels attached to the car and targeting is not as good." The upgrade at WDW makes it sound like you will be able to pick up the guns like at DLR. I'm not sure of the change in targets. With the announcement this morning of the Buzz overhaul at WDW, I'm assuming that will eventually make it's way to DL. Only time will tell.
I'm very surprised this was not part of the 70thWith the announcement this morning of the Buzz overhaul at WDW, I'm assuming that will eventually make it's way to DL. Only time will tell.
For anyone who hasn't experienced the WDW version - it's a 1.0 iteration. From day one, DLR's was a significant improvement - a lot of this update is just getting it to our level. The quality of the ride at WDW was almost something closer to something at Six Flags or Cedar Fair (or even the Lego version at some malls) - something that became comparatively embarrassing after a while. "The Magic Kingdom is a kids park" - so it was okay if it was meh. With the announcement this morning of the Buzz overhaul at WDW, I'm assuming that will eventually make it's way to DL.
