April 19, 2008 - Western - VERY Early Roll Call - Anyone??!!

If anyone is going to be in WDW and would like to meet.DH and I will be stopping in at Jellyrolls on the boardwalk on Friday night around 10:00:

Glad you DD was fine. We will know tomorrow morning def about the cast or not. We are staying at the Beachclub Villas. We will probably be on the Boardwalk at 10:00 but with my little ones, wanting to play every game. Maybe we can meet somewhere then....

Hello everyone, I'm glad to hear the good news on the cast!(or lack of!). Don't you feel like keeping everyone in a bubble until we get on the ship!!!!

Hi Colleen, I noticed on the spreadsheet you are leaving on the 16th. We are to, who are you flying with and what time? We are on Southwest at 6:05 p.m. Didn't want the kids to miss more than 2 days of school.

Hello Debbie, Yes we should be in orlando at noon, we are flying jet blue. What are you planning on doing the 3 days? We are going to universal. I'll pm you with my # and maybe we can hook up ( we will be at homewood suites) and the kids can go swimming!

Yes, we will be on deck 10 for the sail away party what side of the ship do you think we should all meet port or starboard??
getting very excited about this trip the flutters in the belly are starting  !!

I just read today's earlier posts and realized that Conny has left and won't be reading anymore . So - we should probably keep our meet time as planned all these months. How about if we say that everyone should come to the Promenade Lounge as close to 2:00 PM as they can? When we figure that everyone who plans to come is there, we'll start the Yankee Swap, but no later than 2:30 -ish so we can get out of there in plenty of time. Until then we can enjoy some nice conversation and refreshing beverages. I'll bring some nametags (the hokey "Hello My Name Is" sort) so we can figure out who's who and I'll bring the paper to make numbers for the Yankee Swap. Folks should come by at any time, though, better late than never, right?

In the interest of saving time, those who don't want to go back to their cabins before the Safety Drill can bring their lifejackets with them to the meet (SUCH a fashion statement). We can decide at the meet where/when to meet at the Sail Away party for those who are interested. Sound good?

Hope she is feeling better.:flower3:

Thank you, she is.

Glad everything worked out:goodvibes My DD is the goalie for lacrosse and last Saturday she got hit with the ball in the chest, right between the pads and at first I thought it was her hand. My first thought how wonderful that would be for the cruise and her Sweet sixteen celebration. :scared1:

I can't believe we are in the final stretch. Everything I said I would do this time and I didn't,oh well, Hopefully we will be packed on Sunday. and hopefully we won't have to drive next Friday instead of fly.

I was relased from physical therapy on Monday si hopefully I will be able to join the bahama mamas, but would 8:00 be al ittle more realistic?????

As far as the Dismeet goes.on our last cruise we didn't meet until 3:00 and we still had plenty of time to get to the drill. So I think 2:30 would work fine.Anyone want to meet up again on Deck 10 for the sailaway??

If anyone is going to be in WDW and would like to meet.DH and I will be stopping in at Jellyrolls on the boardwalk on Friday night around 10:00

Our internet and phone has been down at home since Monday and they won't be out till Saturday. The DDs are going through withdrawal.

The sun finally came out today but I think it will be short lived and back to dank and drearytomorrow. Ugh!!

Doing the single digit dance:dance3:

The other Denise :teacher:

Would love to meet you at Jellyrolls-we love it-but will have all kids at either Epcot or DHS. Today was beautiful here in Ocean too. I should have started on tan, but was out doing pretrip hair, dentist and shopping.

FYI to everyone, found great glow in the dark pirate socks for younger kids at Journeyz kids in the mall. Three pack included skeletons and 2 pairs of striped. Couldn't resist.pirate:

Dis meet at 2pm is fine for me. Can't wait to meet everyone. Walking-7 or 8 should be fine, but I guess it depends on the day. Planning for the gym too- need to burn those extra calories too.:drinking1 :drinking1

Well, I am too tired to think so here goes a blanket, impersonal post;

Hope everyone is feeling better than has been sick and that no one gets sick.
Hope noone has broken bones.
Hope everyone who is flying gets out on time and safely regardless of the airline.
Looking forward to seeing everyone at the dis meets.all of them, goofy pool, promanade lounge..the more the merrier.
Walking in the am is still too early for me...walk a lap for me!
What is a TGM, if you don't mind me asking?
I am putting labels on my fish exchange gifts.
I can't find my husbands pirate shirt.
I have foamy lime green mickey head pins for everyone..a great IDer!
And what exactly is going on in Key West and Grand Caymen while we are there...some type of parade, street fair or celebration of the sorts? (Yo, Denise..fill me in!)

Whew!
This time next thursday we will be packing last minute things and heading to bed for our early am flight! Those jelly beans are looking terribly slim! And I am liking it!

Good night all! Michelle

That sounds good to me! I CAN'T WAIT!! I'M TOO EXCITED TO SLEEP!!!!

Colleen
BTW- Along with the statment about working off a few drinks, I also want to have a few laughs with you ladies!!!

I had mentioned deck 10 because, unless you are up in front, on the side of the stage, you really can't see much or take good pix.

Good pix are definitely important especially since I want to scrap this trip. I guess I'll be on deck 10 with you guys. So how much will it embarrass you if I'm dancing up there?

Thanks wdhinn (I'm so bad with real names) for posting the link to the Conch Republic celebration. As for Grand Caymen, one of the websites describes Cayfest as

Cayfest is a highlight in the diary of every Cayman islander. With an array of visual arts exhibitions, poetry readings, drama and dance, live music and storytelling, this national festival is a celebration of local culture for all ages.

Recent activities have included street chalk drawing: children decorated the streets of the islands with their original designs and as the firemen came to wash the works away at the end of the festival, everyone changed into their costumes and enjoyed the hose down!

The websites I found on it are:

Hope that helps.

please pm w the site so i can see some photos

I sent again the email I sent you on 14 Feb. Look for it in your regular email (the ".... COMPUTER WORKS" one). If you don't find it, let me know.

Which is, of course, so much more important than worrying about a couple of extra pounds :rotfl2:

Denise, If you want to be up close, I'm sure there will be tons of pix that we can get for you! Other than being up close like that, when your on deck 10 you are still a part of the party! Don't worry about that! Besides, you will be busy asking K.C "Wasn't it all worth it!" :rotfl2:

Good morning :cool1: this time next week we are out of here :woohoo:

He has a lot of info on which parks to visit & which parks to avoid :scared1: there is also a message board not as large as here on the dis but a lot of good info, friendly group as well :thumbsup2 . TGM really works we went to dw last year and walked on or waited about 10 for some rides yes it can be done :thumbsup2 Last year we were a group of 9 :sad2: so it was a little challenging at times but with tgm it was a breeze:cool1:

I appreciate the offer! I might just take you up on it. Actually, I was thinking lately that we need to devise a way to share pictures from our vacation that's safe (i.e., we have kids in the group so I'm talking about respecting their privacy and not letting folks that aren't part of our group be able to identify our kids) but easy for everyone to see each other's pictures. I know I'll be using some in a trip report, but I'm sure I'll take a lot more than I use in the trippie. And some of what I take (if I get lucky) might be useful for someone else's scrapbook. I'm thinking I'm going to bring some type of an address book or notepad or something and get everyone's email addys and then send you all links to my photobucket site once I get the pictures up. Or maybe I could put a page on my website (like I did with the family pics) and just include links to photobucket or other pic sharing sites and the only folks that get the link are those from the thread here that email me for it? What do you guys think? Maybe I'm being a bit too type-AAAAA (hyper) again?

Oh, and reading between the lines there, Colleen, should I be understanding you to say -- "No! Keep that crazed woman away from us!! Her dancing up on deck 10 with us would be just too embarrassing and I don't want the world to know that I know this wild and crazy woman!!!!!! :scared1: :scared1: " :rotfl2:

As for KC.... I'll wait until he's had a few Bahama Daddies to ask him about what a wonderful time he's having and wasn't it all worth it. By that time I'm hoping to get him to aquiesce to the request to book another cruise. :rotfl2:  :cool1: :lmao: :rotfl: (and yes... I fully expect his next response on the board here to be "ummmm... no!"

Denise, Definately not worried about how crazy you get, I'll be right there with you!! :woohoo:

I'm getting so dang excited!!!! It's gonna be so great already knowing you guys and having folks to party with during the sail away party and maybe other ones too!!!!! Don't have to worry about making the right first impression -- you guys already know what I'm like warts and all!!!!!

I thought someone was doing Mickey ear or Shower's of Happiness Cruise name tags, am I wrong?
