April 19, 2008 - Western - VERY Early Roll Call - Anyone??!!

Ready for this one guys...well I picked my DS (12) up from lacrosse practice after school and noticed he was holding his arm funny...to make a long story short and after 3 hours at the hospital with 2 breaks and a fracture in the elbow area, he will be fitted for a cast tomorrow. Right now he is wearing a fiberglass splint. I feel sooo bad, but he said he is thinking of getting a bright pink (waterproof) cast so you will all know who he is....:rotfl: I really need this vacation!!!!

oh man, that really stinks tell your ds I am so sorry

Hi there,

Okay... by my count, for all of us that are getting to the port the day before (and not you lucky guys that are going to WDW before hand becuase you have already passed single digit happy day :rotfl2: ) I created a new graphic. Just trying my hand at animation... the colors didn't turn out too good. But you guys have become my friends so I figured I'd show it to you anyway. Look... here I am doing the single digit happy day dance.

single_digit_happy_dance.gif

Hmm...wonder why it's not showing up? Should be right above this. Must be something about board rules or something. Okay.. now it's showing up, but it's slooooooowwww... don't know if that's my computer or what (it's acting wonky this morning). Jim says it's the single digit happy waltz. Anyway... if you're bored and want to see it you can go to http://i268.photobucket.com/albums/jj18/hypermommy_2007/single_digit_happy_dance.gif

Oh, and Joan, could you put us down as a no for fishlips. Sorry guys... we're going to bow out of this. Jim has mentioned an interest in taking the guys fishing from the pier that evening. And since I'm always giving him static about taking the guys fishing and spending time with them, I can't exactly say "except for now", ya know.

Hi guys, just back from the Orthopedic, and he does not believe it is a break. He does see a line near his growth plate, but believes it to be just swollen as he put it to my DS (a really wicked bad bruise). He wants to see him again on Friday and if things go the way he believes them to, NO CAST!!! :cool1:  :woohoo: :yay: And he can play lacrosse when we get back....:yay: Thanx again for the support.:flower3:

:cheer2: yeah thats great :cheer2:
that all you needed just before your trip!!

While sitting here (yes, at the office and yes, I'm working  --> takes a while for the program to deploy from my desktop to the development computer) anyway... while sitting here I'm reading through some other threads and I came across one somewhere talking about Fish Extenders and the question was asked whether people put their names on their gifts or not. Kind of like a "from:" tag. What are y'all going to do? Trying to decide.

I was just reading on the DCL site last night how the earliest we can embark is 1 pm. Well I've never done this before but I can't see how we are all going to make it to the Yankee Swap by 2 pm. I very much doubt that I'll be first in line and on the boat by 1 pm. If I'm lucky, I'll be running to get to the Promenade Lounge. Am I right or wrong? Does anyone think we should meet a little later, like maybe 3 or 3:30? I am not trying to mess with the schedule I just think it may be a little unrealistic to think that we will all be on board by then.

Hey, how about the sailaway party itself? We will have already put everything in our cabins and did the life boat drill, then we can REALLY relax and have some Bahama mamas! :woohoo: If everyone thinks this is a good idea, we could meet on deck 10 overlooking the goofy pool?

Just a question about travel to MCO. Of you who are flying, how many of you are taking American? We are, and I'm getting a little nervous about all these cancellations. We are flying in the day before but I really don't need to have anything like our flight being cancelled added to my list of worries. So to all those flying AA here's hoping they get there planes inspected before the end of next week.

They always let people on early - usually about noon. Still , maybe 3:00 would be better for the meet - the safety drill is at 4 PM. Should we change our meet to 3:00?

I think the gifts for the Yankee Swap should probably have a label - they should be marked adult, teen, or kid - what do others think about that?
