April 18, 2010 - 4 night Wonder

We wanted to rent a car at the airport and drop it off in Cape Canaveral but we could not find any rental company that will do that. Is anyone else renting a car? Also, where are people staying before the cruise (ok, I know I should of done this weeks ago).

The city code for Cape Canaveral Budget office is CC5 and Orlando Airport is MCO. We have used Budget many times in the past and have always had good service with them.

Down to single digits now!!! :thumbsup2

Just checked the long range weather forecast for FL on weather.com..... partly to mostly sunny with highs in the mid to upper 70's from next Wednesday through Sunday!! :thumbsup2

I hope they're right!!

As a resident of FL, I can tell you that right now, it's still a bit nippy after the sun sets. A lightweight jacket could be handy. We've also had several days reach the mid 80s. It's been beautiful weather!

I can't speak for everyone else, from colder parts of the world, but after getting just a taste of warmer weather this past week (89 degrees here on Wednesday), I am soooo going to like being in warm weather for a week! :thumbsup2 Even if it is a little nippy in the evening.

Right there with you. We have rain today though, i got spoiled the last 3 days with the incredibly warm weather. At least a few days of yuck weather will make me glad to be leaving it behind! I hate when it gorgeous weather at home while I'm away, I like feeling like I escaped something :rotfl:

My DD is 7 too! Her name is Isabelle and she will love having a special friend too! I also have a 5 year old DD. Do you have any others?

-Cheryl

Hi Cheryl,

My DD, Ella, is very excited to meet Isabelle. We'll do our best to make it to the Dismeet. We are in 7138. I also have a DS, Will, who is 6. I have a quick business trip to get through before we leave - yuck - but we can't wait!

Javon's party was last night and we finally found out where we are staying on the 17th (Country Inn & Suites at the airport.):thumbsup2 I am thinking of grabbing a rental car at the airport and making our way to downtown Disney to find some trouble to get into! I tried to go online and see about an excursion, but it seemed that everything is booked :sad2: I just got our cruise reservation number last night so I didn't have much of a chance to do anything until now. We will be in stateroom 2142 on deck 2! I am at a point right now where I cannot stand the excitement.......Saturday Apr 17th....please come quickly:lovestruc

Hey Carrie--welcome to the neighborhood, we are just around the corner from you, we are in cabin 2641. ;)

This time next week we will be on pins and needles waiting to leave for the airport!!! :thumbsup2

This time next week we should be getting ready to board the plane - departure time is 10:20, and about 3 hours later we're at MCO! :woohoo:

We'll be right behind you Ed, our flight is due to leave Philly at 11:25am and due to arrive in Orlando at 2:05pm!!! ;)

I think I am going to have another long week. Our DD started a new part-time job at Macy's this past week. She works from 5:30am to 9:30am a few days a week. I am the one who has to get her up at 4:30am and then drive her to work in the morning. I did that this past Thursday & Friday, by 9:00pm last night I was sound asleep and slept until 5:30 this morning. I was going on about 4 hours sleep each of the past two days. I had my alarm set for 4:30am but was up each morning between 3:15 and 3:30. This made for two VERY LONG work days for me.

:
Hey watch that shoulder!!!:)

Yes ma'am!!! ;):rotfl2:

Actually, my shoulder is feeling a bit better since I got a cortisone injection this past Tuesday. I got back to see the doc the Tuesday (4/27) after we get back from the cruise to see what our next course of action will be.

This time next Sunday I will be chomping at the bit to get on the road headed to Port Canaveral as we will have about a two hour drive from Tavares, Florida to the port. At least the traffic should be light with it being early Sunday morning!!! :goodvibes

We now have piles of clothes starting to build as DW is busy with her packing list. The suitcases will be coming out in a few days!!! It won't be long now folks!!! :goodvibes

Here is a pic of the Wonder (in the background) docked at Port Canaveral this morning.

Next Sunday, it will be docked there waiting for all of us to board!!! :thumbsup2
