It's supposed to be around 50 up here tomorrow and Sunday too! We still have some snow in the yard and on the back deck, which doesn't get much sun. One of these days I'll actually be able to get to the grill again!

Our DS is down in your area right now Andy. His class trip this year is to Washington, DC and they left about 6:00am Wednesday morning, due back Saturday evening. It's eerily quiet around here with him not home.

Definitely try to keep Bryan away from the news. That ship is much smaller than the Wonder and we've been through waves bigger than what hit it, on the Magic with no problems.

We leave for FL 6 weeks from tomorrow!! Yippee......

Yep, just six weeks from today we leave as well, can't wait!!!

Wash., DC is about a 3 hour drive to our south.

Going in to work for a few hours of overtime today, as Hazel would say, more $$ for "smoothies" on the ship, LOL!!! Actually, I'm going in to try and get caught up on the meter readings, have fallen a bit behind dealing with all the snow we had the past weeks. Not much of it left now, thank goodness. We will be in the low to mid 50's at least until Tuesday!!!

We just booked this cruise a couple of weeks ago. We were originally booked for next year on the Dream but moved it up to go before my DH deploys to Afghanistan in May.

We are very excited!! We've gone to WDW the last 2 years and are hooked so we wanted to see what DCL was all about!

I just looked at our reservations and it went from GTY to showing we're in room 5500. I'm worried that it is so far in the front and right above the theater! But with booking so close we didn't have the ability to be too picky. I just hope it's OK noise and movement-wise!!

I also went to look at the booking page on Disney and our cruise doesn't even show up as a possibility anymore. Does that mean that it's fully booked?! I was hoping that we would be past the spring break crowds. Our spring break is over Easter weekend.

I just looked at the deck plan on the disney cruise website. I was surprised to see a room assignment already.

If you didn't select a room when you booked, and booked as GTY (guarantee), your room assignment will show up on your reservation if you log into the DCL web site (if it has been assigned).

They don't usually assign rooms until about 30 days prior to sailing, so I'm a little surprised that they are already doing assignments.

Welcome to our little group!! The DCL experience is a lot different than WDW - much calmer - no running around - and I'm sure you will like it!

I checked this morning and the cruise is showing up for just 2 adults, but it may be that they have reached their quota for certain age groups in the kid's programming.

Thanks for the welcome! You explained the room assignment better than me. I was surprised to to see a room assignment already. With booking so close I didn't have the option of choosing a state room so we'll just hope for the best! Everything must be assigned because it didn't give me any options to change to a different room.

Even though they have done room assignments, if you're not happy with the location, you can always call them to see if something else in your category is available. If something is available that you like better, they can change the room assignment for you.

Thanks for the info. I found what room we are assigned. We paid for a stateroom cat 12 but when I look at our room number it is showing as a cat 10? Was this a mistake or did we get upgraded? Has that happened to anyone else?

Sounds to me like the upgrade fairy paid you a visit!!

No one here on the boards has ever been able to figure out DCL's rational for complimentary upgrades, but they happen all the time.

That usually seems to work much better than trying to meet at the sailaway party - much too crowded and noisy up there.

I'm a little surprised that they are sending them out this early. I don't think we've ever received more than 2 - 3 weeks before a cruise. But..... I am not going to complain!
