Wow! I haven't read all 53 pages of posts (yet) but wanted to check in. We are cruising on 12th April too - coming from the UK with my husband, daughter aged 10 1/2 and son aged 13 1/2. Also my mum is coming with a friend of her who lives in Cincinnati, and my friend her husband and her kids (twins aged 9 and 12 year old boy). We have been planning it for YEARS as Friday 18th April is my 40th birthday!:yay:

That aquarium visit must have wiped everybody out!

I'm taking Eric -- age 16 -- to get his driver's license today. He's been 16 since November but just finished his required practice hours. Wish me luck!

Have you all already done your online registration? I wonder what is too early and what would be too late.

Bev

I have all my online reistration done, Megan too. Kim is still waiting. I even have the contract signed and in my tavel book...Right now my travel book is an inch thick.

I filled out my online forms, but I haven't printed them yet. Just in case I wanted to make changes. I had filled them out before booking excursions and didn't know if they would show on there once they were booked.

The Aquarium was a lot of fun. The kids had a great time and we were there for about 2 hours.

Now I am trying to figure out what other things will be needed for the cruise. I think the kids will still need a pair or two of shorts and I think DS needs one more bathing suit.

Welcome to the thread. My kids are exactly the same ages as yours. Congratulations on celebrating your Birthday on the cruise.

If you are interested, we are planning on meeting the first day somewhere on the boat, I think at 3pm, but we will confirm the place before the cruise. There is also a list on page 43 that shows everyone who has joined this thread, so you might want to peak at that.

Welcome Aboard!!!!:) We are counting the days:cool1:

We enjoyed the aquarium too! The kids really got along its like they knew eachother already! We have to try and get the pictures on here.

I also did all the online forms but haven't printed them yet. Started taking clothes out to see what we are bringing! Did some shopping this weekend, what a joy shopping with three children and a husband:rotfl: We got Easter outfits out of the way. I figure they can wear them on the cruise as well.

Just found out that there will be two more joining the beginsters - my brother-in-law and nephew (15 when we cruise).:yay:

Welcome rachaellou!!!! :woohoo:

:welcome: I'm sure you catch up in no time! (At least if you are like me, my work is seriously starting to interfere with these boards and reading everything!).

I kept insisting I did not need to buy anything (well except new sandals for me and dd, as well as dress shoes)....but I finally broke down this weekend and got a new dress for me and some new shorts as well as the shoes and sandals. I bought some really nice stuff on clearance and sale so it wasn't too bad. Now I just need to pack so I do not buy anymore "extra" stuff!!!:rolleyes1

Hmmm, when we did our cruise last summer I packed and then in the last couple of days home I went to Kohl's for a few things and ended up adding a few new tops. I never took out the original things and ended up with about 8extra shirts that I didn't use. I don't like to pack too far ahead because I forget what is in there.

I still need to go through my son's shorts & stuff and see what he will need. So far I bought him a suit.

I keep saying I have to pack, but I never actually make an attempt. :rotfl: I'll probably be scrambling last minute.
I still have to go through my daughter's stuff to make sure her shorts still fit! Plus I have to get my list ready for all the stuff I have to buy (formula, diapers, bottled water. and other baby stuff) when we get to Florida. This way I don't have to lug it all on the plane. If I don't right it down then I know I will forget something (or buy another 10 things I don't need)!

Well I am glad to be past the dragging diapers, formula and other baby things along, but now the kids are big enough that their stuff takes up as much space as ours. At least they are old enough that they pull their own suitcases.

I have been trying to post the pics I have. I can't get them to be small and landscape. It keeps blowing up huge and flipped. Any ideas?

Deb,

Not sure what is actually going on with your pics but I will upload mine tonight. I'm not sure why I haven't gotten to it yet, lol ... but I will today as well.

Me too!

Hey, Beginsters -- I'm so glad you're bringing along another 15-year-old boy. Does he do sports?

I liked the idea that Megan had of buying some of her baby supplies when she gets to Florida. Does anybody know if there is a 24-hour WalMart anywhere near the airport?

If you go to Walmart.com and enter the zipcode for port canaveral 32920 it shows a whole bunch, but the first couple aren't open 24 hours. But maybe you could pick stuff up in the morning before the boat.
