When we were in AK on 8/31, DH was approached by a Disney management type and asked if he would be willing to fill out an e-mail survey about his experience. DH agreed, and we received it a few days after returning home. Wondering how many other people have been asked. The survey was mostly about our experience at AK.

I also got an e-mail survey (this was totally unrelated to the above) at home a few days before we left on our trip. Sounds like Disney is collecting a lot of data!

Last year we recieved about 2 or 3 e-mail surveys about different parks, the resort and cas members :teeth:

The last few trips we've been on we've been asked to do surveys. Once we got asked when we first walked into MK..sort of weird to grab someone when so many people want to just get in but we've seen it all so we obliged. They walked us over behind the lockers and there were tables w/ laptops set up and we answered a computer survey. Took about 8min or so.

We also were approached while sitting in our lobby where they asked a few questios and they were using a hand held.

We've also seen it done at our reost bus stops. Or CM standing there observing at bus stops.

They are always doing surveys.

I was approached to do a survey outside the exit for Soarin right after it opened last May. I also have gotten some of the email surveys.

More recently, out of the 4 trips I took last year, I received 3 postcards to do surveys about my hotel experience. The questions were mostly open-ended (meaning you don't pick an answer ie yes or no, but give an actual response) and very interesting.

I used to work in market research, and I love when a company actually wants to know my opinion. The cool thing is, these surveys directly impact how companies operate. While they may not always do what you suggest, they definitely receive your imput. Very neat.

I've been sent email surveys twice and was asked to do an in-park survey right inside Animal Kingdom. I don't mind. I'm very vocal and like to tell Disney what I think. :p

Last time we went to Epcot, we were approached when we walked in and were asked where we were from...city, state, and zip. I guess they want data to know where all the visitors are coming from. That's the only time I've had that happen.

Last December a friend and I were standing in front of the Castle Forecourt Stage waiting for Cinderellabration and we were approached by a man and asked to answer a few questions... these were very basic questions... where we were from, how long were we staying, what kind of package we were on. He was very polite and it only took at the most 5 minutes.

Last year while waiting to be called at Rose and Crown a cm came up to us and surveyed us concerning our vacation - length of stay, if free dining had anything to do with it and demographics. When we returned home, there was another concerning the accomodations. This year we received two surveys so far and we have only been back one week - one from AK, probably the same one the OP did, and one from the Disney Institute because we took the Backstage Magic Tour. I enjoy the surveys..... How else would they get info to better the parks, tours, etc??

Babs

we were stopped twice this trip. Once at TL where they just asked our zipcode and if we were staying on-site and the second time was at AK where the lady asked us questions about our trip for about 10 minutes. They were questions that had to do with were we staying on site, did we use EMH, when and where did we use them, how did we get to WDW, that kind of thing.

I was approached this past year outside of Kali River Rapids. I agreed to talk with her and she jotted down my answers using this pretty neat looking handheld computer. She asked me a few questions about where I was from, where was I staying, how many times I had been to Disney, who I was travelling with and if I minded Disney sending me surveys through email in the future. I told her that was fine and have received a couple since then. One was about my hotel stay, another was about character dining experiences.

When we were there in January a CM came up to DH and asked him about an online survey. Of course DH said yes and we got a the survey a few days after we got home.

In 2001 a CM surveyed me with one of those hand held computers.

Same thing for us. We were approached at AK and a CM asked if we would be willing to answer an on-line survey, and then requested our e-mail. It's a great way to get more e-mails for WDW, but they already have mine! ;)

We were at AK on August 8 and they asked us to take the same survey as the OP. They e-mailed it to us a few days after we got home. It was pretty detailed, asking all about our AK experience.

We also got one about vacation planning - how far in advance do we book, how far in advance do we call for Dining, etc. I think that one was from agreeing to do a survey at MK. What was so funny was that the SAME CM talked to us at MK and AK!

I was asked in January at the MK. I did the survey...it did not take long. It was interesting. I think that they are collecting data in order to see how they can better serve customers.

Seems every trip and at every park, we're approached just after entering the turnstiles, for a survey. I most always decline, takes from my enjoyment on entering a park and gazing at the happiness to listen to a whole bunch of questions, I'm on vacation, not interested. The few times my wife has agreed, they seem to be endless, way too much info given and taken to my liking. My feelings are, catch me at my resort by the pool and ask your questions, I'm more relaxed and not going anywhere for awhile plus I usually have a cocktail with me. Other than there, if you're asking to take time out of my park enjoyment, give me a fast pass to someting to use at my convenience and you would have people lined up for these surveys.

We've been stopped inside the parks and asked the survey questions right then. The CM would have an electronic pad and enter the answers. They would catch us in one of the designated smoking areas while we were taking a break. We had it happen at DL and DCA several years ago. We also did a suvey at AK near the front gate.

Hi!
We were just asked to do a survey while we were in MGM. I was surprised how fast they got it to our e-mail. The lady told us that sometimes they give free passes for filling out the survey. I quess we didn't get one... :guilty:

we were approched at mgm on 9/3 and saw the survvey people at other parks. they asked us to do one online, but it has yet to arrive.
