Apple Store MacBook

Looking to get my son a MacBook for Christmas (early graduation present). Does anyone know if I can get the student discount on top of any sale they give on Black Friday?

My son worked for Apple for quite a while and I do not remember any Black Friday deals on MacBooks. I would suggest you go on line and see what kind of a deal you can get on a refurbished. They will have a warranty just like the new ones.

I think your best bet would be to wait till the end of summer when mac accepts student discount, offers a student bundle and accepts tax free. Its the best time to buy a mac if you qualify as a student.

I bought one on amazon last Thanksgiving day (not black friday) for my daughter who was then a senior in college. It was the same price as Best Buy's black Friday deal last year and free shipping. I was glad to find it because I wanted to give her the computer for Christmas instead of purchasing it in the summer which would have been right about the same time as we were paying her college bill.
