Thanks All! Just purchased the ticket for our August trip. I was kicking myself last year for not hopping on board when this came out so glad I saw it before I ordered the power pass!

Brianhog just use the code provided on page one of this post and order online.

Okay I went to Burger King today and there were no signs of any coupons. If anyone has two codes they would like to give me (or can you get 2 APs with one code??) because I'm in need of getting a new one for me and I'm trying to get my grandma to get one (she wants to meet the GBs....LOL).

Thanks !!!:wave2:

BK is advertising the "2 for 1" special all over town on billboards. Last time they did this my son asked the store manager for a coupon and he handed him 2 or 3.

They are behind the counter at most restaurants. Just ask for them.

I picked up my 3 coupons at the Burger King on south John Young Parkway in Hunter's Creek (Orlando) on the day they came out. They were just sitting there by the register in a stack of a couple hundred easily. The bar code is identical on all 3 (that's the first thing I wanted to check on, before posting it on here) so I guess all the coupons from BK are the same unless they release a different coupon.

i bought my AP last month on line & received in the mail
do you think when i go to activate my AP at UO that i could get in on the two for one deal with a coupon then?

just wondering

If I buy the annual pass online with the BK code, do you think I will need the actual coupon when I turn in the voucher for the photo id?

I am going on April 29th and I may not be able to find a BK coupon. They could be all gone by then.

Just a freindly reminder - I think this is very important for on-line purchase, especially if someone is not planning to go by 6/30/04.

I just called the Universal Pass Dept to clarify meaning of "redemed by" : - have your photo taken by 6/30/04 in order to get second year free.

Are they really restrict about this? I don't know. They told me I do need to pay on the first day of parking if I don't have official (photo) pass. Reading the boards - I knew some people can get through without official pass - only showing voucher.... I Guess: sometime works, by chance.

I just recently purchased my AP and then saw this deal. The AP does say Non-refundable, so I guess you can't return it. Kinda makes me mad that I can't and then buy this one.:(

......Thanks for the info I have been trying to get the coupon and was going to buy 5 on line and activate them in August. Not anymore...Now I will just buy them when we get there....

You don't have to activate your pass by 6/30/04. If you don't activate your ap before 6/30/04, your pass will expire on 6/30/06. Here's the info from Universal's website:

Buy a Year Receive a Year Free!
Limited time offer! Purchase a 2-Park Preferred Annual Pass and receive a 2nd year free! Unlimited admission to Universal Studios® and Islands of Adventure, with NO blackout dates, free self-parking, and more! All passes will expire June 30, 2006, or two (2) years from 1st date of use, whichever comes first!

Thanks, I hope they will do that and that was my initial understanding and hoping for: activate anytime you want, they all expired 6/30/06. However, codes we are using for the purchase are from coupon and coupon stated: redeemed by 6/30/04. I still hope "redeemed by 6/30/04" do not apply for on-line purchase which is confusing, especially for people do not actually see the coupon - contains additional info web site did not mention. I called the pass dept and that was what they told me – I am purchasing it on-line and pick up at kiosk. I am heading to Universal in 2 days. I will verify what they told me over the phone and update this when I get back. Have a good Easter, everyone.

Eagerly awaiting some clarification on this issue myself as I purchased a pass online that I do not plan to activate until August. I would hope that they would honor the buy 1 get 1 free deal with an expiration of 6/06 in August . It says right on my print out buy 1 get 1 free with my confirmation number. I called the online ticket store last night to check out the activation date issue and she could find nothing that says what happens to tickets activated after the 6/04 date. I'd be curious to hear from others who have used this promotion in past years to find out if the 2 year deal was honored after the the promotion's stated activation date.

Here was my experience - ordered these on line and called the ticket office while I was on-line to confirm that I could activate this pass in Dec and not by 6/30/04. I was told that yes, I could activate it any time within the 2 year frame, but all passes would expire on 6/30/06 - so I ordered the ticket.

When it arrived it says right on the ticket "redeem by 6/30/2004", so I called the # in the ticket package 888-322-7119 and she told me that I must activate the ticket in person by 6/30/04 - I was very upset and told her what I was told before I purchased - she gave me Guest Services # of 407-224-4233 - they told me that the ticket did not have to be activated by 6/30/04 - same story as when I was purchasing - she even said "if you don't use it until Dec, you'll just loose the first 6 months".

I wish they would get their info straight, but I have the ticket and can not be down until Dec. - maybe others could call Guest Services and see what they are told.

Jennylen - thanks for checking for us right at the park

PS: doesn't say anything about needing the bk coupon!

this morning . . . I called the AP number this morning to determine if I should renew my AP or if I could purchase this 2 for 1 deal. I explained that I was from Alabama and that I would not be coming to the parks until Thanksgiving to activate the APs. She said I shouldn't purchase the 2for1 at this time because they expire at the end of April 2006!??!! I tried "discussing" this issue with her, since the last date to activate is in June, but she was convinced she was right.

Anywho, she told me I should wait and see if another deal comes out before my next travel date (hint hint).
 What does that mean? If she didn't know the correct expiration date of these 2for1's, then could she really be informed to know of a future offer down the road? What to do? What to do?

I would probably buy this offer if I could get one last trip out of them in May of 2006. But now I wonder if they'll run a similar offer towards the end of the year.

Last year this same question came up. As far as I heard, everyone was able to redeem the vouchers after the deadline. All that happened was that the 2 year annual pass expired two years from the deadline so they lost a few weeks or months on their annual passes.

I may be able to help with the redeeming issue. We bought the 2-for-1 BK deal last summer because we anticipated going to UO in Sept. 2003 (when the tickets had to be redeemed). We arranged for e-tickets. Well, I went and broke my foot a week before we were supposed to leave and we had to cancel our trip.

I had called ticket services when this happened, and they explained I could activate my pass anytime, but it would still expire Sept. 2005.

We just activated our passes March 24, 2004. It was a tiny bit of a hassle since we had to stop at guest services. I asked the girl if something was wrong, and she said, "no, we just haven't seen any of these vouchers in a while!" It took her some time to sort things out, but she gave us two sets of vouchers. One set was to get into the parks at the gate, and another set to hand in to get our actual APs. So all was fine after about 45 minutes.
