AP? Should we or shouldn't we?

Here's the situation: We have already paid our room/package completely (room, ultimate park hopper ticks for both of us, and romance add-on). We are going in September and have cirque tickets, as well as Segway tour arrangements.

We want to get onto Stitch if it is open (and it is looking like only AP during that time), and there is a special Q&A session for AP holders with cirque tickets during the time we are there. We would need it for both...

but does that justify the cost?

Could we get the discount on the Segway after it has already been paid? Are there other discounts that we may be able to get that would then cause it to be a better deal?

Any suggestions and ideas are welcomed!

Keep in mind that you would have to cancel your package and rebook it separately. The UPH's that are included with it are not upgradeable to AP's.

As a general rule, things like tickets and tours cannot have discounts applied retroactively without canceling and rebooking.

Hey GoldenOldie! Haven't seen you in a while! :)

DavidsCoco, you're within your 45 days, so you'd loose $100 of your deposit.

There ARE currently Annual Passholder rate for September. I don't know where you're staying, but you can figure that into the cost difference as well.

Like GoldenOldie said, you could easily cancel and rebook your tour with the discount. I believe all of the tours have a 24 cancellation policy - which means you'd get 100% back of what you paid.

I would do the math. When we went in September of 2002, we founf a better hotel deal. We lost our $200 deposit (although it was a Disney hotel, we booked it through United Vacations). Even with that $200 loss, we STILL ended up saving some $300.

As for other discounts with the AP, they offer a flat $$ amount off at the water parks, and Disney Quest. There's a 10% merchandise discount at the World of Disney (excluding media....CDs, videos, DVDs.....and food purchases). There's lunch discounts at all of the Epcot world showcases places, as well as the Bonnet Creek Golf Club, Concourse Steakhouse, ESPN Club, Trail's End Buffeteria, the Grand Floridian Cafe, Olivia's Cafe at Old Key West, Kona Cafe, Whispering Canyon Cafe, and the Yacht Club Galley, as well as the All Star Cafe at Wide World of Sports. They have a lunch and dinner discount at Wolfgang Puck's, 20% off food before 6:00pm at House of Blues (they also offer 10% off merchandise), all day discount at Planet Hollywood, from 11:30 - 4:30 at the Rainforest Cafe at DTD, lunch and dinner discount at the Portobello Yacht Club, and lunch and dinner discount at Fulton's Crab House. They also have Buy One Get One Free Leave a Legacy tile at Epcot, 10% off at Virgin MegaStore, 10% off at Eurospain, and 15% off a few different tours.Thee's also a discount for car rentals through Alamo, and National.

Good luck!
