AP Rates for Fall are now out!

Does anyone know offhand what the % discount is for the value resorts on the week of 10/15?

thanks:goodvibes

We re-booked at AP rate this AM, but the CM told me we cant keep our All Star Sports, had to book Music instead. Anyone else told this?

We normally stay at Poly CL and are thinking about splitting an 8 night stay with 3 nights at CSR followed by 5 nights at Poly GV. On one hand I want to try CSR, but we have never stayed at a moderate and I have fear of the unknown. This is our 4th trip in the last year so we decided to save some money and not do CL this time. I noticed in your signature that you have stayed at CSR and Poly CL. Just curious how CSR compares to Poly.

Hi! We love CSR and we love Poly CL! They are quite different but we look at them as different types of stays. The rooms at CSR are a bit smaller, but of the moderates they are the most upgraded. The mattresses and linens are quite nice. My favorite features of CSR are the pool and the resort grounds! If your family wants some good relaxing pool time then CSR would suit you well :goodvibes

We were able too book a studio at BWV Oct 11-15 for $1268. We were waiting for discount because we refused to pay almost $2000, which was rack rate. We almost booked the nurse discount at the Swan or Dolphin. So happy we were able to get BWV. We love love the BW.

What is the percentage off at Riverside for early Oct?

For 2 adult: Nothing available 9/30-10/6

10/7-10/13 Garden view 25% (right now). :thumbsup2

Hard to believe I can get the same AP percentage off at ASMu & POR.

I am unable to check the website myself (stupid Premier Pass), and I'm pretty sure I'm still out of luck on my dates, but could anyone double-check what is available for 10/23-28? Are there any deluxe resorts with AP discounts at all during those dates?

BCV Deluxe Studio @ $2057. That's all that is left for those dates.

So if you have a premier pass you can't access passholder rates online? Thinking of upgrading this year since we'll be traveling to CA, but that would be a bummer.

I didn't have an issue when I had my first Premier AP back in 2010. This time, I am being told that I can't access it because I haven't used the pass yet at WDW. So, if you use your pass at WDW, you should be able to access that site's AP page. Unfortunately, I live in CA and won't be at WDW until our trip in the fall. Very annoying.

The D-land AP website registration uses the barcode # instead of that weird WTS # on top, so even if you don't use your Premier AP at that resort right away, I am betting you won't have an issue. They are two totally different websites and registrations. Frankly, I just think WDW's website is the issue.

Got half of what I wanted today upon calling for the 5th time Nov5th-9th BC Water view with dining ap rate 1895.Gave up Gf for 2304 theme park view room.

Disney is really making us AP holders work for the discounts now days. :lmao: Come out with a "up to 30%" GP yesterday then a "up to 35%" AP rate today.

Called yesterday to take advantage of 20% off ASMo but was offered 5%. Switched to ASMu for 20% off. Then called today for 25% off ASMu. Now if Disney would have offered the AP discount yesterday I would have been set yesterday. I even asked about AP rates yesterday & was told nothing in the system yet. :sad2: Maybe Disney felt the CM's on the reservation lines needed more to do :confused3 I dont know.

I feel your pain! I booked the GP online on the 27th and saved nearly $1200, then saw the AP last night (too late to call and modify) so I booked the AP online to save another $200. Then I had to call back today to cancel the first one! Considering how bad their website crashes every time a discount comes out, you would think they would either want to do it all at one time, or leave a few days in between for the dust to settle.

I was a little disappointed that the AP rate wasn't better for my dates, but considering the BB didn't cover more than half my days (neither did the FD, but I didn't want that promotion anyway) I'm just glad my dates were included so I could get the resort reservation out of the way. Last year I had all this settled almost a month ago!

To the pp who was commenting on the 5% discount - in the old days, Disney would just issue a discount percentage for a resort level (say, moderates at 25% off) and all resorts at that level were included. Now they take a much more statistical approach and only the specific resorts within a category that need a boost in occupancy get the high discounts. So I'm not surprised when a really popular resort has a small discount these days. It's not that they are getting rid of the discounts so much as they are trying to move the people around to even out the occupancy.

If you are flexible about where you are staying, you can still do well. For example, often BWV has higher discount percentages than BCV. They are in the same general location, with the same size rooms, but because BCV is a little smaller resort, and it has the draw of SAB, it doesn't have as much of a problem filling the rooms. I like both resorts equally, and if I want to stay in the Epcot resorts area, I'll go with whichever one has the best rate. But if your heart is set on a specific resort, say CR, and it only has a 5% off rate, and you won't move to, say, Poly if they have a 30% off rate, that is your choice. I have paid more because I wanted to stay in a specific resort for a specific trip a couple of times. I see a lot of threads where people are changing resorts or room types to get the best deal, and a lot threads from people who won't switch and are unhappy with the small discounts. You just have to decide which is more important to you - a specific resort or a specific price. Neither one is the wrong choice - in fact, my preference varies depending on the needs of the trip.

Best of luck to everyone in their quest for the best deal!

Try this:
Clear *all* your cookies and browsing history in your browser.
Use Internet explorer.
Choose pass type #7
Shorten the 4 digit year in the code to the 2 digit year when entering the year so enter 12 instead of 2012 (or 11 instead of 2011)
In the last box enter the last pass code numbers without any spaces between them(I think I entered the last 5 & there's 6 in that group but you can try multiple times until you hit on the right combination)

This is what I had to do for mine last year, and it worked fine. I have the premier and can access the passholder site for both DL and WDW. The other thing I've seen suggested is registering it under two different emails for the two different parks- one for DL and one for WDW. I didn't have to do that.

Sorry to derail this thread a bit, but I am not sure what you mean by pass type #7. There are 7 pass types listed on the page that asks me to choose a pass, and the 7th is "Pass Purchased at a Disney Resort Hotel." That one doesn't ask for a year or the WTS #, which is what you are talking about.

The 6th pass on the list is the Premier Pass. When I click on it, it asks for the following information from the pass (on mine, all of this info is on the top left corner): MM/DD/YY WTS: ### #.### It instructs me to enter only the #'s after the letters at the top.

I have tried entering the date with 11 (2011) and 12 (2012), even though my pass has a 2011 date (this is the date the card itself was generated, not the date my pass was purchased or activated). For the second part, I have only been entering the three digits after the WTS: CAS, and then the four digits after that. I don't have 6 or even 5 digits. There are 7 digits total, 3 after CAS, a space, and then 4 more digits.

I've even tried doing all of this with other passes that are listed at the beginning, and it always gives me the same problem.

Maybe your pass was different? Maybe they've changed them in the last year? As I mentioned, when I had my last Premier AP, there wasn't any problem. I appreciate your help, but I don't think it will work with my pass.

Thanks for the info, Sophie. We live in FL, so we will likely buy/activate the pass at WDW. So hopefully that means we shouldn't have any problems continuing to check AP rates/book rooms. I will be sure to ask about it, though!

I had to get their help on adding it to my account... I emailed them and got back detailed instructions on what exactly to type into each field and when i did so voila it all worked. I'm very tech savvy and it hadn't worked prior but it did afterwards so who knows... :confused3
