AP Rates for AFTER August 4th are...........

Hey there, we live 1 mile from MDW. By Curie HS on the SW side. Today is VERY windy and some severe storms to hit later. Stay safe. You are close to "tornado" land.

As far as the AP rate release goes...i have another "trend" for all. As many of you know, the "trend is your friend". (Especially betting the NFL.)

Last year, Disney changed the way they released "early" summer codes...this year the same thing happened. Last year they released the "early" summer code the 2nd Wednesday in May...this year the same thing happened.

Last year, they released the "late" summer code on June 8th...the 2nd Wednesday in June. This year, the 2nd Wednesday in June is the 13th.

Now, I am not going to bet the house, BUT...i do think the trend is for a next Wednesday code release for "late" summer.

Just like SWA releases / opens up their schedules on Thursdays....the trend here is Disney releases the "early / late" summer AP Rates on Wednesdays.

Ditto that re. the weather! I am just over the Illinois border and we are expected to get some pretty strong winds and rain later.

Now back to our scheduled program - I sure hope they release the AP rates next Wednesday. I leave that afternoon for a vacation to Colorado and would like to have a nice start knowing I saved some $$ on my Disney trip!

I am wondering how many of us who are waiting patiently for AP rates do not have any other reservations booked. I don't have anything booked. I am thinking maybe I should book something just in case I am not able to find any AP rates for my choices/dates. If we have to wait for next Wed, I am getting a bit nervous about not be able to find any room at the inn.

I booked earlier this week for just that reason. I don't want to be left with nothing. I'm not going until Sept though so I have to wait even longer than the August people.

Greetings! I'm also from the Chicago area ~ Batavia. We didn't get any storms yesterday, but the heat is turned up today

I'm also keeping an eye out for AP rates, but I think I have to wait a little longer before the rates are released for early Oct.

I'm waiting too. I should probably book since I already booked flights. I've never done that before, but Southwest had that "too good to pass up" deal earlier this week flying straight into Orlando from Columbus for $30 each way. Couldn't let that go. Now I sit and wait for discount codes.

Does anyone know if I book with a AAA discount and the AP codes come out if I can change codes? I know they might not be available for the same hotel I book. I'm willing to change to get the deal, I just want to be sure I can do that.

Its interesting that this morning when I called, the cm said "no, they just released the last group, its gonna be a while." I told him, that it was about 2 weeks apart last year, and he sounded spellbound, that we know these things. Didn't sound like he was doing this too long.

Well fingers crossed for this week. I am a little nervous, hoping for CR mk view tower, and pretty sure, I will have to make a last minute decision to move somewhere else, split, or bite the bullit and pay the AAA rate i have. Thing I am enjoying the limbo of still hope, that I might have a small shot.

I stand corrected.....Last year, June 8, 2006 WAS on a Thursday.

Maybe it will be today.

Hopefully, all of the Wisconsin and my fellow Illinoisans made it thru the weather OK yesterday and last night. In the immediate Chicago area...we got nothing except for big strong winds.
