AP Rates are out past August 14

Hi snykymom
My dates are 17th to 24th September (7 nights). I am interested in a value or moderate. I am travelling solo so it's just for one person.
Thanks very much
ASSports: Standard room Sat & Fri - $74; weeknights $64
Preferred room Sat & Fri - $89; weeknights $79

Caribbean Beach: King room Sat & Fri - $159; weeknights $149 (standard not available

Also appears that Caribbean Beach is the only mod with availability.

Ended up making arrangements at Wyndham Bonnet Creek. If it was closer price wise I would have risked a value with a request for king bed in one room, but this ended up saving us more then $500 and we will get a 2 BR 2 bath with kitchen, LR, and possibly a view of the parks. Just have to see how it goes.

I just got Music by calling for the people that aren't crazy about sports. POP and Movies was sold out.

I was happy with the rate..

Surprised that it only goes to Oct 1..

Need those Nov rates to come out :thumbsup2

Bah, at this rate we'll have an AP rate available for our Oct. 5th trip around mid September! There had better be a GP discount or something in the meantime.

Yuck, these AP rates suck. I currently have a standard room at CSR booked for Sept 10th-18th. I used the bounceback offer that was in my room this past May and paid $981.37 ($113.10 weekends and $106.60 weeknights). I just checked for the same standard room using the AP discount, and for the same time, that exact same room is $1149.75 ($134.00 weekends and $124.00 weeknights). I've booked the bounceback deals before and then switched over to the AP discounts when they come out and the AP discounts are always the same or a little less than the bounceback room deals. What happened this year? My bounceback deal beats the AP discount. It looks like the AP discount for the moderates is about 24%, whereas the bounceback was the usual 35% off moderates that we usually get with an AP. For my eight night stay, it means $528.00 off rack rate using the bounceback compared to $347.00 off rack rate using the AP discount. I had already decided to not use the DDP this trip and to use the TiW card instead, so dining didn't figure into my plans anyway.

I also have another bounceback deal booked for Nov 27th-Dec 4th and because the bounceback dates didn't cover Nov 26th, I have a rack rate room booked for just that one night. I was hoping to switch both to one ressie using an AP rate, but if the Nov/Dec AP rates are as bad as the ones for Sept, it looks like I may be doing a split stay using the AP rate for just the first night on the 26th, then keeping my current bounceback rate for Nov 27th-Dec 4th.:headache:

I called to get the AP rate for French Quarter as soon as I saw this thread and was told it was already sold out- the rate was released yesterday the CM told me. After booking Riverside, the rate was available online and there was french quarter availability- as long as I wanted a river view room. I'm hoping for a cancellation but it looks like I'm going to be stuck with Riverside or pay an extra $200 for the river view:(

im starting to think my BB offer is the best im gonna get.

Just called to modify our trip for September and we got a steal. 6 nights at AKL on passholder dining Club Level for $2013.00!!!! So excited 68 days to go!!!

I was waiting for the AP rates to come out to decide where to stay, looks like it won't be at a deluxe. The AP rates aren't good at all! For CSR I can get the same (actually $3 cheaper) rate on expedia!

I got 32% off a one night stay at the Grand Floridian (garden view) in late August. Since I'm a DVC member I usually don't look for AP discounts even though I'm an AP passholder.

Can somebody give me the AP website so I can see the rates online?

Thanks!!

Go to disney web page and click on passholders. You will have to register you Ap before you can check prices.

Most of the offers end 10/1. I wonder if it has anything to do with the 40th? We are going down 9/29-10/3 since here in NY the kids have off a few days for Rosh Hassanah (I am sure I spelled that wrong).

Disney said last year that they want to "wean" people off the expectation of discounts. The way they're going, the only thing they're weaning me off is the desire to have an AP.

I've got a bad feeling this is going to happen for our October trip too. Last year we jumped on free dining the day it was released for our December stay, and there was zero POFQ availability. We "upgraded" to AKL, and would have been happier at POFQ.

We've only had APs for a couple years now. Is this the first time there hasn't been a set percentage off? I'm surprised to not see a save 35% or whatever.

Are the deluxes really only pricing out to be 28% off?

hope some of you are happy with what you can get!:goodvibes

This is the first time I remember not seeing set % for each resort category.
Some Deluxe are pricing out at 28% some more I think. No set rhyme or reason  They're not telling much about rates. I think some resorts have a higher %, some nothing. We just have to play around with the booking page & guess :sad2:

:scratchin I'm starting to think this too!

My bounceback rate is holding up well against the AP discount.

My wife had a conference in Orlando so we visited WDW in March (stayed offsite). We planned to visit WDW in June with the kids so we bought AP for wife and I prior to the March visit. My wife and I plan to visit WDW in September as our on get-away so the AP's are worth the price alone. We have taken advantage of the shopping discount at the park stores and Downtown Disney but thought that a room discount would come into play for our September visit.

The general public discount we had for our June visit and the bounce-back for September are better than the AP discounts.
