We have our AP vouchers that we received from DFTW that we need to exchange when we go down in May. We are booked at Pop with an AP rate and I know we have to show our passes when we check in. Will the vouchers be good enough or do we have to exchange them first? If so, do we do this at guest services at the resort or will we have to go to DTD or a park first before we are allowed to check-in? Thanks!

On our vouchers, it said you had to go to one of the ticket places at one of the parks to get your AP's. We just did this on Friday, we parked at GF and took the monorail to ticket and transportation center and activated them. It was very easy! But I'm not sure you could do it at DTD or the resorts. It doesn't hurt to call and ask if nobody else can confirm. :thumbsup2

I believe you have to activate them at the parks and not the resort. I don't know if you can activate them at down town disney or not.

You can activate them at Guest Services at Downtown Disney or the TTC or the ticket windows of the other parks. Unfortunately, you can't activate them at the resorts. :thumbsup2

But do I need to activate them before we get to the resort? Or will they let us check in with the vouchers and then go activate them?

I entered the voucher info on the pass holders wdw webpage and it gave me access to all the AP rates and specials. When we checked in I showed them the vouchers we had and it was fine.

I tried that but it didn't work for me! Which option did you select? :confused3

We currently have AP and they expire the same day we are checking in to our resort, so I was told that we would not have a problem. However, I was told that we could activate our vouchers at the resort, which was a bit odd to me, but they did say that a concierge CM would be able to do that for us. :confused3
I was also told that if my current AP had expired before our check in that we would need to activate the new ones before checking in, but I read someone said that showing the voucher worked for them, so I guess it's all about who is helping you.

We checked into All Star Sports on 3rd March 2011 - we had booked with the Annual Pass holder rate. I was really worried because we didn't even have the annual pass vouchers - we're from the UK and they wouldn't have been posted to us early enough for us to recieve them before we left, so they just emailed us the information we would need to collect them.

After all that worry the Cast Member didn't even ask about them - just checked us in and told us what balance was left to pay.

I read somewhere before hand that you can even book using the passholder rate if you are intending to buy annual passes when you are there, although it did say you are supposed to buy these within 24 hours any you may be asked to show these.

It was also really easy to exchange these for the actual Annual Pass - we used guest relations at Magic Kingdom. You do need photo ID though.
