My first ever runs out at the end of January. If I re-up does the clock start ticking right away, or can I wait until I go again in August to activate it? Simple question, I know. Thanks for the help.

If you renew your pass, it starts when the other ends. you save about 10.00. If your not going back for a while, I'd let it run out and start it over when you go back.

My only issue would be I'm a DVC guy now, so that discount is more like $100. Interesting position I am in.

It might be diffrent for you then. I'm not sure, mine is FL res.

I think you can still let it run out then get the DVC discount for your new vouchers (not renewal) and then use them on your Aug. trip.

The renewal for DVC AP is only $15 less than waiting 'til your next trip.

2005 prices (after taxes):
DVC AP: $314.18
DVC AP renewal: $298.20
DVC PAP: $415.35
DVC PAP renewal: $394.05

Rates will probably go up in Jan '06. So for optimal savings you should buy a new annual pass (not renewal) today to save the most, and recieve the most time using them.
You can purchase it now and not activate it until your trip begins, giving you a year from then before it expires.
