Im pretty sure the answer to this is absolutely no, but Ive heard new DVC direct buyers sometimes get a little pixie dust. I bought my husband and son a 4 day PH last september. Both were used then. My daughter and I bought platinum APs as we knew we would be back in december on a prosepective DVC buying trip. We just signed the papers on a BWV contract direct from DVC. Think its even worth asking to see if they might retroactively apply those two tickets like an AP upgrade for my son and hubby? Or is that just always and absolute no if you dont upgrade at the time they are used. I know i can buy them gold passes for our next trip but that has two of us with AP expiring in september and two in May, which just make things more complicated.

Sorry, you are out of luck as far as the ticket goes.

As far a pixie dust for new direct purchasers goes, that's usually in getting a room booked when there isn't any obvious availability.

well thats good, cause i have that problem too. Though I think I may just do pop that trip anyway.

So in September 2017 when we bought a direct contract while they were running that awesome AP special on platinum passes. I had just activated an AP and my son and husband had 6 day park hoppers that had been used 2 days. They took the value of all three of those tickets and applied them to platinum APs for all of us and ended up giving us $100 back on a GC. The key here is that the park tickets were not entirely used.

On the subject of different expiration dates, we purposely staggered ours so that we aren't dropping $1900 at once every year.

The key is you did the upgrade within 14 days of first use and before all of the ticket entitlements where used.

Yep, When Mom was living, we usually traveled in June and November, December, or January. We purposefully has mine expire in June nhers in the winter month to stagger the cash outlay.
