AP discounts on sites?

I can't find a recent thread on this.... we're upgrading to APs when we go in August but I'm wondering if we should get them prior to our arrival so we can apply a discount to our reservation.

So, if you have an AP can you tell me if discounts are ever offered on sites?

Right now there are no Fort discounts. (period). I have been trying for Feb 7 and Nov. 24, no FL resident discounts nor passholder discounts, nor military discounts, nothing

1) Nope.
2) The resort GENERAL MANAGERS have almost full control over discounts in their resorts.
3) Campsites are in too great of a demand for almost any discount.
. . . AAA (WDW and AAA have ceased their relationship for discounts)
. . . AP
. . . DVC Points
. . . Free Dining
4) Why give discounts if you can "sell" the sites at full price?
5) It is simply business.
