AP Discount

There was no gp discount available for our cash 1 br villa at bwv nov 10-13. There still is non discounted availability.

I've convinced myself that if they don't need to discount them under the GP promo to sell them then there's no chance of the ap applying?

Is this pretty much on spot? I like to hope but at some point just have to let it rest.

When I saw I wouldn't save under the GP I dropped two tickets we didn't need and switched over to the ap plus dining non discount do the total went down about $200. Guess that's my discount .

I think you are correct, although I'd assume they'd release of few rooms under the AP to keep AP holders happy. But what do I know? I fell for the multiple CMs who said that they'd be released today!!!

What do you mean by the F&W booking tomorrow?

Tomorrow morning the Food & Wine special events are available for booking for the general public. Things like the Party for the Senses, the 3D Dessert Party, the signature dinners, food & wine pairings, cheese tastings etc.

Did the Fall discount ever appear yesterday? I just bought AP's for us to use on our November trip, so I don't have access to the AP site yet to see the deals. I understand I can still book the discount, and show them our activated passes when we check in. Thanks!

This is so funny - the different responses we all get from CM's I just called and was told to not get my hopes up because there will be very limited AP discounts because there is very little availability at any resort for most of October and November. It does make sense I guess -- if most rooms are booked then why give a deal...? I did go on to ask if she had any insight of the actual release date and she said "soon" and "keep checking back."

In the past 3 years, the discount for fall was released on a Tuesday in early september. The trend of this year is that the discounts are coming out earlier and earlier. So i'm crossing my fingers for this Tuesday, August 5th.

It stinks for me if they wait until early September (what they've done the in the past) because my trip starts September 28th..thats cutting it so close! But I have my GP just in case, so i've made my peace with not getting the dining plan. Here's to August 5th or sooner!

yeah i built my orbitz deal lastnight... very tempting but held off in hopes of AP matching it so I didn't have to pay all upfront and I could also move the reservation to a different date if emergencies happen.

Can you cancel an orbitz reservation with no penalty? or maybe I could get travelers insurance.. orbitz have one to add on?

Maybe AP discount tomorrow??? I think sometimes the CM are clueless when it comes to when the discounts are released! When I booked our rooms for January (my son is active military) the morning the military rates came out, the CM told me that she had only learned of the military rates just one hour before I called!

You can cancel most Orbitz reservations. It will usually state that. I know that the Disney reservations I was looking at said free cancellation up to like 5 days before travel.

Thanks for the tip! We ended up booking through orbitz. Got Animal Kingdom, Pool View for $275/night (with tax and extra adult fee)
