Oh thank you for thinking of me, I did take advantage for our stay at POR, but only saved $65! Hey it's still something right? Just hoping that maybe the AP rate would be a bit better. If not I will be forced to upgrade!

Yea the discount for POR is apparently terrible, I bet you have your heart set on it though, otherwise I would be thinking of CBR or CSR

Where is the best place to see the arrival of AP rates? On this board? Will we have advance warning or willl they just appear some morning?

Seems like the discounts are getting fewer and lower all the time.

I remember the days of $49 at the All Stars and AP discounts of 45% at some resorts. That couldn't go on forever, but it was sweet while it lasted! It hooked me on multiple visits per year as the norm. Now there's no getting away from it - I'm a Disney addict!

One of the current deals ends on 8/15, so I wouldn't expect anything before then. I'm hoping for a bit more savings, too!

I think they just appear. Last year they came out around 8/14...so maybe next week ??

Were new to AP's, we are getting married at WDW next may, and have the AP vouchers in hand (but from what I read, they are useless as far as the new online system goes), but I can still call and book a trip using the AP discount, and just present the voucher upon arrival? Is this is best place to keep up to date as to when discounts are released?

I can't comment on the Jan. discounts, I just bought my AP in May. But, try this website for an idea: http://www.mousesavers.com/historical-information-on-walt-disney-world-resort-discounts/

Yes you can add a dining plan to room only when you have AP (unless Mickey got testy and changed this with the RFID like everything else!). And yes, you can book AP over the phone. Resorts handle it differently though. Some will take the voucher, some will make you exchange it and show it to the front desk within 24 hours after check in or they revoke the discount. If you are worried you could exchange it before checking in at either a park or DTD.

In the past, the daily emails from dis have notified of AP discounts, but this last one it didn't seem like they included it. But, you will probably see posts on it almost immediately appearing.

Waiting here too ... I have a reservation with fall discounts but would like AKL CL and it wasn't included . I'm pretty sure it won't be included in the AP discount but you never know right? right??

I am also hoping for an AP AKL CL discount, but also at the GF (we're doing a split stay).

I wish that the rates would come out already!! It is nerve wracking waiting.

Is there either particular day of the week that it is more likely to be announced? Or could it be any day now??

Take with a HUGE grain of salt but I called to book February 2014 with the military discount and also asked about our October 2013 trip for which I wantto use the AP discount. She said nothing yet but maybe by the end of this week.

DH and I were at WL for a a quick weekend trip and saw the bounce back offer in the room, so I called about our upcoming October trip- there were no rooms at the BWI (going for TOT 10 miler) but the CM did tell me to watch the website for the upcoming AP discount. Not counting on it, but wild like it since we also have a trip booked for the Princess Half in Feb.
