Is it possible to send children down with ex? They do not share my last name. Under the guidelines they are eligible, however, can they get the DVC discount under my contract w/out me being there? I know I can order them ahead of time, but will not be present to activate. Anyone have experience with this?

Thanks in advance...

There will need to be some proof of residence for them to get the discount. I guess I would call MS and ask if there is something specific they will need. I assume your ex is not on the contract.

Correct, current DH and I are on the contract. I'll try to give MS a call this week to find out. Surprised no one else has had experience with this situation. Thanks.

I think it may be difficult since no one will have ID that matches the DVC member card.

>>>When a Walt Disney World Annual or Premium Annual Pass is ordered through dvcmember.com, an exchange certificate will be sent to you via mail. The certificate can be redeemed at any Walt Disney World Theme Park ticket window by presenting the exchange certificate, your Disney Vacation Club Member ID card and all adults must present a valid driver's license or state identification card showing they reside in the same household. The Pass is good for 365 days from exchange certificate redemption. Renewals will be valid for 365 days from original Pass Anniversary Date.<<<

Would you be willing to send your blue membership card down with the children? They can show that with their DVC vouchers and explain that they live with their Mom (you) who is the DVC member, but that they are traveling with their Dad (whose name they share). I don't think they will have a problem. JMHO.

Best wishes -

That's probably true, but I would still call before sending them down with that assumption.

I have read the requirements and understand them. This, seems however, to me at least, somewhat of a gray area. I was thinking of sending my card down with them too. I have no problem with that. I'll drop MS an email to see if I can get a firm answer. Unfortunately, as I said before, I'm sure this isn't an uncommon question. It's anything but an uncommon situation. Thanks for your replies!

That's a good idea to e-mail them. That way if they say it's OK you will have something in writing to give them.
