Anyone doing this? Do you have any info on special events or gifts. We are trying to make up our mind. I wanted to go Xmas to see the decorations, but quite a price difference.

We're going!! Just booked last week. I had asked on here at the time whether anyone had done last year's AP cruise (we couldn't go last year, drat!) and could share any info. on gifts, events, etc. that were "out of the ordinary," but got no responses. :(

We booked a cat. 5 through Dreams and with the AP + early bookings discount + the Dreams rebate, we saved way more than I had anticipated. We really wanted to cruise this year but had thought it was out of reach until this deal. Yay.

I was on this year's AP cruise. Don "Ducky" Williams gave presentations and there were a few special activities and gifts. My report is <B><a href="http://www.primateprojections.com/travel/wonderjournal0103.html">HERE</A></B>. I thought it was great.

I am considering booking for the 2004 AP cruise, but so far word is that there will be no special guest artist or presenter and maybe no gifts at all. That is of course subject to change, but at the moment the only incentive is a discount on the cruise for AP holders. This is supposedly because the turnout was disappointing for the first AP cruise and its events. Has anyone heard confirmation otherwise yet?

All I know about it is what is on Mousesavers.com She says:

"A special 4-Night cruise for Annual Passholders is scheduled for January 25-29, 2004. While on this special cruise, you'll receive an exclusive Passholder gift and a special group social. There will be many pin trading opportunities while on the ship as well."

Beyond that, I have heard nothing. Whether this about the gift and social is still accurate or not, I don't know. But special things or not, the discount was too good to pass up!

I am sure that is true. The "special gift" is probably a special pin like last time (but probably not a lithograph like last time . . .don't know). They will definitely have a "social." The big difference will be NOT having a special "guest" artist/speaker for special sessions, as they did on the first one. At least this is what I was told. They just have not "promised" that yet, but they may end up with a known Disney "celeb". On the first one everything was planned and announced well in advance. In any case, it is bound to be another great cruise!

What does AP stand for and when is this cruise?

disregard my above question-had I read a little more I would have had my answer...

Were you able to get a discount on this cruise because of your AP? I contacted Small World Travel yesterday, and told them that we had annual passes and were interested in a quote for the Annual Passholder cruise that was mentioned on Mousesavers. Their quote was about $225 more than the basic price (non-discounted) quoted on All Seas website for this same cruise. Should there have been a discount?

If you book DIRECTLY on DCL's website, the final price WILL be lower provided you use the correct booking code. The code for this cruise is APC. Keep in mind that each person participating in the "Annual Passholder" cruise MUST show their WDW annual pass upon check-in at the port, which must be current and valid during the sail dates.

Travel agents who use the correct code should also be able to book this for you at the annual passholder rate for annual passholders wishing to book through them.

Is there a way of getting a quote (not actually confirming a reservation) from Disney's site using the code? I didn't see a place to type it in.

Also, my husband and I have APs, as does my oldest daughter. We didn't get one for my younger daughter because we didn't feel she would get enough days at WDW out of it to make it worthwhile. The younger daughter will pay regular price since she doesn't have an AP, right?

Sorry for all the questions!

Proceed through the booking process as if you were actually going to book. Pick your itinerary (4 night cruise only) your dates (1/25-1/29), number of people, stateroom cat., etc. When you get to the end, you will receive a quote for the cruise showing your total. Look a little further down that page and you will see hyperlinks where you can change whether or not you want insurance or transfers. Look a little below that and there is a line labeled "Booking Code" with a hyperlink labeled "Optional". Click on the link and a pop up window will open with a box where you put in code "APC." Then it'll ask you where you got the code -- doesn't matter they just want to know for research purposes. Choose one and then tell it submit or OK and it will close and your adjusted price will appear on the quote page, if the room category you picked is still available at those rates. If you don't see a discount, try different room cats.

I'm not 100% sure about your daughter, but I think the cruise is different from the resorts in that all members must have an AP to sail, whereas at the resorts, only one must have an AP. Before you book, I'd call DCL and ask about this and make sure it's possible for the rest of you to get the discount, even if she doesn't.

For what it's worth, I used Dreams Unlimited travel and had no trouble getting the discount applied, plus they gave me an instant rebate, resulting in a fab rate.

Now I see it! Thanks for the explanation! It took about $200 off the price of a Cat. 4 room. Does anyone know if they will do two stops to CC like the DVC cruise? If they do, I'm booking! :D

One more question, JD...what was the instant rebate for?

It's based on the total price of your cruise, varying from $50 to $200. So the more expensive your cruise, the larger the rebate. There's a graphic showing the scale here . The offer is good if you book by July 31, 2003.

And what I've seen of the itinerary, there's only 1 CC stop. Nassau first day, CC 2nd day and 3rd day at sea.
