AP before Years end?

I was wondering if anyone had some info regarding the wonderful perk we receive as members regarding the Annual Pass discount.

We are not returning to WDW until April 06 so we let our passes expire. Now I am wondering if it would be wise to purchase passes before the end of 05 in case the perk is discontinued...What do you think??

I'm almost positive I read on here that someone had attended a DVC meeting in Chicago and they were told that the AP perk will be available next year as well.

We went to the SSR annual meeting and it was still mentioned as being a perk. They didn't say anything of it ending this year.

I know it's only a perk, and perks can disappear.
With that said, it's always very hard to take something like this away without giving something of equal value.

Of course I hope it stays, and will take advantage of it while I can!

From what was said at the annual meetings, it sounds like the perk isn't going to disappear any time soon. However, Disney may raise the prices of their APs. Our APs expired in October, and we're not going again until May, but we purchased new vouchers right away to negate any price increase.

I just purchsed APs for a trip in the end of 2006. I figure the base price of the AP will increase more then what I will earn on the money in the bank. A nice perk of this is that if they do away with perk I've still taken advantage of the $100.00 off.
