AOA Discounts??

Ok, we were planning our spring (april) trip and my kids have their heart set on AOA. We want to do 2 standard rooms, (we are not fans of the suites). I tried to book with AAA, and there are NO discounts for Little Mermaid rooms. The CM said that there haven't been ANY discounts for AOA except the Disney Visa up to this point for ANY rooms. I remember seeing people getting FD for AOA (I thought). SO is this true? I need two rooms, and Little Mermaid is the only building I was told, so I might just book anyways. Do you think there is ANY chance of a discount for these rooms later? I am really torn on booking this or going with BC or POLY with hopes of a 30%.

If they are selling out the hot new hotel they have no reason to offer discounts.

I just booked a LM room for January 5 - 11 with a AAA rate. It's only 10% but I did get it. I have seen others get the general public FD for the suites and some with a PIN get the LM rooms...So I think the CM was mistaken... Edited to add: I just went to the DW website and was able to get prices for FD at AoA on December 10, so it's possible...

Did you book direct, or through AAA? I tried to book with the AAA, and CM said it wouldn't work. I'd gladly take the 10% (for now)

I booked with Disney Travel Company(407 828-8101). If you want a package or package with dining you have to book with AAA.

Thanks. I know you can book AAA discount on a room only direct through Disney, Just wasn't sure how you did to get the 10% on a LM room. Wish me luck, I am going to try again......

I got the 10% AAA discount on a LM room at AofA for March 17-22 just this afternoon through Disney. Afterward, I called AAA directly to price a package with dining. That was a good $250 cheaper than the non-discounted rate.

I mean, I'd love free dining or a 20%, but I'll take what I can get. In fact, if I have to switch to Pop to get it, I certainly will.

Yes you can get FD at AoA, but it is only on the family suites with the current offer. Unfortunately, you can not get the LM standard rooms.

The LM rooms are excluded from the current public FD offer. But you can get FD on the suites at AoA.

I have not been able to apply AAA discount to our Feb 2013 ressie at LM AOA.

I booked a rack rate AoA LM standard room months ago for November 2012. I've been watching and waiting to see if any room only discounts appeared. I was originally offered FD for the room, but it just won't work for us this trip. When the military discounts came out I tried, no luck. I was offered the 10% AAA discount, but other than that, every single other room discount has excluded the LM standard room. Very frustrating.

I have a 10% AAA discount for an LM room in May. I booked though a travel agent.
