Is there anywhere close to US that you can park for free and then walk or take a cheap shuttle to US? I will be staying at a Disney hotel but will have a rental car.

Universal is much more difficult to park for free due to the distances involved. The only thing I can think of is at the Doubletree Twin Towers across Kirkman. But then it's a pretty long walk. Hotel probably has a shuttle but I don't know the system they utilize to verify if you're staying there, if any.

It really isn't that far a walk for anyone in reasonably good shape.

I don't know of any way to park for free. As Bob stated some hotels have shuttles but you will need to contact them directly to see what the cost is and if they are available to non-guests.

The Doubletree charges something like $12 for parking, even for hotel guests :scared1:

We got a slight discount by booking through a Disney travel specialist who had a special offer for the Doubletree which included parking for $9. Still too expensive for what it was, uncovered and pretty full as well.
