I avoided hearing what exactly the Big spoiler was, but I knew there was one. I didn't expect death, until he hopped off the peloton and grabbed his arm.
I was always on Team Big. Even though I knew Aiden was the "good guy" there was no magical rapport like the one Carrie and Big had. The spark with Big and Carrie was so fun to watch. And even though I am sad and stunned, I do think their storyline was getting stale. We had been through the break ups, the heartache, and the good times. Good times are wonderful, but they don't pack that OMG moment we all look for when watching. This was an OMG moment. On some level I get why they killed him, even though I truly loved Big.

(he had some of the BEST lines)
WHAT ARE THEY DOING TO MIRANDA?!?!
I do not like the Miranda stumbling privileged white woman story line. Miranda is smarter than this writing. Sure everyone can put their foot in their mouth, but this is repeated over and over and over. Come on, Miranda would know to shut up and move on.
Steve having hearing loss. It is simple! Geez, get the man better hearing aids. Come on!

As stated by PP earlier, he was always a wimp ... but you cheered for him because he is a good guy. He has grown more common sense since season 2, give him credit.
And YES! WTH is up with Brady?! 17 and a girlfriend is living in their house? Making out at a piano recital? Banging against his parents wall while knockin' the boots? Smoking weed at a funeral? Yeah, I cannot see where Miranda would have ever let this kid become this much of a brat.
What are they doing to this character and her family?! Turning them into idiots? I do not like it!
(and yes, I do think they are going to write in a alcoholism story line)
You are not alone. Even though I was miffed at the Miranda story line, I was still riveted. Death is a real part of life, and I am interested to see where they are going to go with this. Sure it will have dark moments, but I think they can also have the comedy too. Stanford's line of the neighbor wearing the designer white hoodie is prime example.
I think they did an excellent job with that. That is how many people process such a sudden death. Absolutely robotic going through the motions, your mind is unable to process the enormity of the loss. And with that,
@tcufrog I am sorry you lost your Dad.
With all that said, I like this better than the 2 movies. I know, mostly everyone loved the first movie. I saw it opening day at the theater and wasn't wowed. Just didn't do it for me. This feels more like the series, even though I know many of you will disagree. I will continue to watch, even with the dumbed down Miranda. (although I did love her line at the recital. "I had a rough first day at school, and I'm looking at 2 hours of tween Mozart" Yep, let the woman have her purse wine!)
