Anyone watching Big Love??

There was a woman who signed onto the thread last year from Utah. She was very inciteful, although I think she signed off because it was all too real to what she saw in person and she didn't like that HBO was glorifying this lifestyle. Hopefully, someone will pick up where she left off.

I'm really liking this season of Big Love.

Do you think he'll really bring home a fourth wife?

I think Alby is going to do soemthing really creepy to Sarah this season. tehre is a good blog on the TV Guide website that talks about each episode on Tuesday mornings. Gives a really good overview of the previous night's show and some insight into the characters/scenes that may not easily be picked up on.

I think Big Love's one of the best shows on television - like The Sopranos, it has a way of making something outside the pale seem almost as American as apple pie.

OMG! How about Bill's mother committing Wanda! Joey was too funny sitting in his car because the other woman was in his house.

The funniest thing, though, was Nikki's reaction to the Rosary and to the Catholic Church. As a Catholic, I thought that it was funny to see how someone with such different beliefs would see the things that we find "normal." But, how could Bill take his DS across town and acknowledge him as his son when his face is on billboards all around town? People tend to know those that they see on billboards and people talk.

Rhonda was funny in Sara's boyfriend's apartment. I like that Sara is onto her and that when Rhonda told her that she was raped, Sara asked, "what do you really want?"

Don is about as creepy as Albie. He really needs to either be fully in or fully out. How does one partner with someone who stays on the fence like Don does?

I think Don is Roman's spy, he's probably acting as Bill's best friend, so, that he can give Roman all the inside information. He even encouraged Bill to pursue his future fourth wife, honestly, what can a fourth wife bring, but, more trouble...LOL

I think Alby is going to do something creepy to Sara too! He is either going to kidnap her, try to molest her OR beg his father to blackmail Bill into making Sara one of Alby's wives. I really think it could be that! Sara doesn't believe in polygamy but she does seem the type that would do just about anything to save her family. Hmmmm......popcorn:: Let's keep watching!

This show just gets better and better. I am also surprised that Bill has the roaming eye for the waitress, but what surprised me most was when he took his wedding ring off before going into the cafe. I wondered why he would do that if he feels his lifestyle is so right.

Albie is so creepy and i think he is definetly up to something.

I initially liked Barb and she was my favorite wife but Margene is emerging into a force. I think eventually she is going to bolt.

I just figured that he believed he could hook Ana without a ring and then let her in on his little secret.

Did you know that Rhonda was the voice for Lilo in the Lilo and Stitch movie!?

She was also the truly creepy and scary Samara coming out of the well in "The Ring." Both Rhonda and Alby are creepy and are definitely going to make some serious trouble. I can't wait to see exactly what they are going to do.

And, Margene is really starting to come into her own this season. I can't wait to see what's going to happen when she goes in to see the waitress at the diner. This show just really grows on you, doesn't it?

I LOVED the Nikki thing. She was exhibiting the exact same behavior toward the Catholics that she rails against when it is done about Mormons!! It was a really great illustration about how people react to the "other" without even being aware of the hypocrisy of their actions.

I got hooked on this show this season, I only watched a couple times last year. It really is a well written show. I think the Rhonda story is going to get VERY interesting....

I thought that this was one of the best episodes!!

I was cracking up when Bill's mother came out of the car w/the Baby and Joey asks where Wanda is and Bill's mother says (like it's nothing) "I had her committed!"

I knew something had to be going down w/that laundry mat -- money laundering operation, huh? I thought it was v. funny when Bill's mother was putting money in the cans b/c she doesn't trust the banks!!!!

Bill and that waitress -- just wrong, wrong, wrong!!!! He is never satisfied, is he? Not in business, not in the bedroom ... ugh!!!! I want to slap him. And, how do you think Barb and Nicky are going to take the possibility of another wife? I can see Nicky just losing it behind Bill's back, prob. to Margene!

I was thinking the same thing w/Bill and his face on all the billboards. How far away could that school be that people wouldn't know who he was. Plus, he did that big "Grand Opening" thing w/photographers, etc. showing him w/Barb and their kids ... and the whole Mother of the Year thing was in the newspaper, w/their family portrait, so if anyone saw those, then they'd know his true colors.

Rhonda -- she is a real piece of work, isn't she?! Gotta love her! Yeah, she was raped. Who is going to believe that!? And, I loved all of her "The bible says playing sports interferes w/your menses" and the other nonsense biblical stuff she spouts. Cracks me up!

I loved Margene from the get go and I'm glad that she's coming into her own, standing up to Nicky, etc.! I love how she slammed Nicky, too. Good for her!

The next episode looks so good!

Bill's father is just vile. What a great character on this show. He is such a sleeze-ball. I loved when Lois threw the money onto the front porch so she could lock him out.

How about Margene's mother?!? It explains a lot about Margene's psyche having met her mother. No wonder she and Nikki would get along. They are both conniving. How about that light-up shirt? I also liked how she drank, smoked, cussed and behaved badly and that Margene put her in her place.

I missed on the first showing how Albie wound up with his black eye. I rewatched what I taped at 11:00 at 5:00 this morning. It was worth waking up to watch it.

It seems that Hollis and Roman are on about an equal footing, albeit Hollis running to Mexico to establish his compound. I don't understand yet why Hollis would be afraid of Roman, except maybe that Roman has govt officials in his back pocket here and Hollis is a lone wolf. I still think Don is up to no good and that Bill shouldn't trust him. He's such a negative force in Bill's life.

Oh, and I'm glad that Wanda is back. I just wish Joey would give up the 2nd wife idea. I also wish they'd leave the compound. Maybe Wanda could finish off her FIL and claim an insanity defense. ha ha

I don't think Joey & Wanda will leave the compund for good, because that would leave little reason for Bill & Barb, et al to go back there. I loved Margene last night, she has really grown up by being in the family. Although is this the world's longest pregnancy?!! She is barely even showing yet!

I agree about Joey and Wanda, but I'd love to see them living in reality instead of the compound.

I also agree about Margene's pregnancy. Early in this season, I thought that they'd written it out, but I guess time is moving slower in Sandy, Utah than the rest of the world. :)

After that scene where Bill was telling Ginger about how well he would provide for the wives I said to my DH watch, Ginger's going to want to be one of his wives now. Next thing you know, she's coming on to him. Ewwww!

I love this show and even DH who said he didn't want to even see one episode of it from the get go is hooked. LOL It really turned out to be so much better than I thought.

I think too that Barb may be a little drawn to Joey because he seems to want to buck the whole system of multiple wives and that's what Barb is looking for. I think she's having regrets.

Last night's episode was CRAZY!!! So much happened. Poor Barb, she just wants to go back to being a regular Mormon! and I did feel a little bad for Nicki, since she really just wants to please. She is so unromantic! And the ENDING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! What do you think about Roman?

OMG -- Roman!!! I love Roman!!!! They better not off him!!!! The whole scene where Alby's there, the wife comes out I was screaming in my head "Call 911!!!!"

This show is really picking up speed this season!!! I also feel for Barb and think that she only told Bill to marry Nickie was b/c she prob. thought she'd die and she didn't want her kids w/o a mother figure ... and since she could pick the mother figure, she thought Nicky was ok. I wonder why she allowed Bill to marry Margene?

As for Ben ... I was hoping that his girlfriend would've ended up pregnant and that's how his parents would've found out about their having intimate relations. I loved how Ben said "I'm not ruined inside" and Barb said she knew. I think it'd kill Barb if Ben was a polygamist.

I was really turned off by Bill telling Margene "You're a naughty girl" and Nicky "You're a good girl". So ... what does he call Barb? A "fair to midland girl"?!!? Those sex scenes queeve me out b/c I cannot stand Bill Paxton and cannot even imagine faking any sort of intimacy w/him. I think those girls have to be awfully good actresses to appear so in love w/him and totally into kissing him, etc.

I about dropped when Margene mentioned a 4th wife! The look on Barb & Nicky's faces!!!!

If Roman is dead the power struggle would be unbelievable  I don't think he is though. But I guarantee Bill's life is in danger.

But I guarantee Bill's life is in danger.
If not Bill, then someone in the family.

It also amazes me the greed that runs through Bill's family! Bill, his mother, his father, his uncle ... they're non-stop!
