Anyone waiting for 2010???

LOL, we're going on July 13th of this year, and also planning to go back in summer 2010 with my sister and her kids and my parents! This trip is just the 4 of us though. And we are already thinking of 2010!!

Yeah like a 10 day long weekend right :lmao:

Wonder how many posts we'll rack up by 2010???? :lmao:

Plenty ;) the excitement hasnt even started yet!! I fear that once i have booked i will be spending far too much time on the Dis- if i dont already :rotfl:

I know what you mean Tigger, the price is an issue for us too. I think really the only way we could do AKL is with a code, keeping my fingers crossed on that one ;)

It is soooo hard not to start planning! We're supposed to go to the beach next summer and I really have no desire to plan that trip, if it were up to me we'd go to Disney every year. DH thinks WDW is "ok", :confused3
Hellooo...... didn't he get the message??? Happiest place on earth!! :lmao:
DD6 is becoming just as Disney obsessed as I am, her 7th birthday is next month and she just asked me yesterday if we could go to Disney World for her birthday. She was not thrilled when I explained to her that we just got back and can't go back for a while
She also wanted to go back when she realized that we had forgotten to get some ears when we went in May... we live 12 hours away!! :rotfl:

I may be tempted to plan a long weekend trip next year over her birthday though, if they are still having free dining next year :thumbsup2 We'll have to wait and see.

:thumbsup2 I know what you mean about trying to plan next years vacation first :thumbsup2
We're going to Yellowstone next year for a few weeks, but all I can think about is planning our WDW trip for the following summer!:wizard:

:confused3 Question:confused3
Does anyone know if you get a better rate the earlier you book ?
So, if I book a year in advance compared to 3-4 months in advance,
will I get a better deal ?
Or, does it not matter at all?

I know that we have to wait until 2010 after our trips this year. I am hoping to get gastric bypass surgery next year, so that's going to soak up a chunk of my paid time off. So, I have great hope that in 2010 that if Disney gets a clue and reopens the Adventurer's Club and the Comedy Warehouse, that I can talk Corey into going back to WDW. We are both so upset about the demise of PI right now, that it's hard to make any plans.

I don't think it matters. I'm pretty sure that rack room rates stay the same regardless of how far in advance you book. I think the biggest benefit to booking early is maybe getting any room requests that you might have and just knowing that you're booked
Since I don't think I'll have any specific room requests I think I'm going to try (keyword try) to hold off booking a little longer in hopes of getting a discount code for a deluxe. ;)

Lindy: I am upset that they are closing Adventurers Club too. I really hope they keep it open or relocate it.

Will you all book at the one year mark or wait longer? I hope to book around the 9-10 month mark.

The earlier you book, the more time you have to watch for the discounts and codes to come out. I wish we could book before the 500 day mark though. Like Spongebob Squarepants says, "I'm ready, I'm ready"

I'm getting bad! I have been already thinking out my week in terms of which restaurants we'll visit & which parks we'll go on each day. We're not going til Feb 2010!! I am pregnant & the new baby will be 1yr old for that trip (his/her 1st)! DS will be almost 5 yrs old by then. I'm excited to go! My excuse that I say is that it will be so busy here w/a preschooler & a new baby that I won't have lots of time to plan the WDW trip, so I need to start now. hehe

I'm too excited to wait!! :goodvibes

Some good friends of ours may end up going with us, and I am now in the mood to plan away! But... I don't want to drive anyone crazy, so I will only obsess to all of you- since we are all in the same boat and understand, right?!?:rotfl2:

Hurry up, Feb. 2010!!!!

Yeah lol i think everyone is just as obessed as each other on the dis :rotfl:

WOW!! I'm not crazy (or I'm not the only crazy?). We went this last January -February and I'm looking forward for January 2010.

My sister adopted a girl and a boy and all the legal process ended this past week and my BIL told me "well the next thing is WDW":woohoo: . I've been trying to make them go, but since they were saving for the adoption it was impossible for them. I already started to think how it can be since it's going to be the first time for the kids, and for my sister is like the 1st time too because the last time she went was 20 years ago.

We're not going until 2011 - i know I'm pathetic!

we will be celebrating being DEBT FREE and we are staying at the poly for 2 weeks - it will be well worth the wait!

the timeline is all figured out to have everything paid off - Three years til Disney seems forever away - but 3 years to being debt free seems so close!

I was thinking 2009 ;however, i am now thinking 2010. this way, my 3 year old
would be taller, less crabber, and fully potty trained..... ;) I can not wait.

I'm w/ you!! I have no desire to go to WDW w/ a baby...we always wait until our little ones are slightly grown to be able to enjoy it more...for everyone. We went before and DD was 4 - when we go again, my DS will celebrate his 5 bda AT WDW! That's another reason why we are waiting until 2011.

Hello, just checking in with my fellow "Disers' in waiting", and waiting, and waiting...... :rolleyes1

I'm really missing WDW today because we have been talking about the rides at work, sigh..

Ok, to pass the time, I thought it might be fun to list some of the things that you wished that you had done last time you went and things you regretted doing that you won't do again.. Here's mine:

Last time I really didn't see the need to purchase the $50 tickets to go to the Pirate Princess Party, I just didn't think it would be anything that would interest my family but if they offer it in 2010 then I will definately do it because while we were leaving the MK at 7pm and all of the PPP people were coming in, the MK just took on a different feel and I was wishing so badly that we had done it. It looked so fun.

I will absolutely do the dining plan again. I thought it was awesome being able to do so many character meals that we normally wouldn't have wanted to pay to do.

I will stay onsite always. This last trip was the first time we did and we loved it! Forget having more room in condo or whatever, we'll squeeze in like sardines to enjoy Mickey 24/7 if we have too

I will "try" to build up the courage to ride RnR :scared1:

I will ride ToT at least 3 times :thumbsup2

I will not overstress and worry that DH is not having a good time and just relax, because even though he is not as excited as DD and I he REALLY IS enjoying himself! :goodvibes

Anybody else??? :confused3
