Good Morning y'all!!

I'm sorry I haven't updated you--- my mom got here LATE Saturday night for a short visit and I've been running crazy since then.

Okay so Yep--- Shelly & co are in The World!!

I got a text from her at 8:45 eastern time Saturday night saying they were on the ME headed to the BC.

We briefly talked about the wait times for Soarin-- they were at about 80 minutes and she wasn't sure she was going to make it that night to EMH-- they were all very tired.

However, yesterday morning she texted me bright and early from standing in line at Soarin!!!


She says that crowds are insane- there were people everywhere all day yesterday.
Knowing how empty it was when we were there in August/September--- I know this was hard to endure.

Today is their LL and Celebration day and I haven't heard from her yet but she usually calls or texts once they get into the parks.

She said she was really looking forward to today and hopeful that maybe the crowds won't be as bad there.

I'm hoping that's the case!

So there you have it--- All the news that is the news around the world and across the nation.

I'll update you later when I have more info!

Thanks for the update Jodi! I hope you are enjoying your visit with your mom.

HaHa! I wasn't too far off when I said that I knew you had probably heard from Shelly! I hope they got a great room with a nice balcony and view.

That's crazy how crowded it is. I guess travel isn't affected by the crappy economy. I sure hope it was just a weekend thing.

I can't wait to hear how they like LL and Celebration. Looks like nice weather!

My friend is down there now for the huge cheer/dance competition. It was the cheerleading and dance World championships the past 2 days. Yikes!

Awww!!!! Shelly's son just Face Timed Drew and I got to talk to shelly for a second! It kept freezing up so we had to stop but they have had a good day at LL and Celebration.

They are having a good time I think!

I don't know much about her thoughts on the BC--- haven't talked for a long enough time to find out! I *think* she likes her view, not sure about the room.

We'll see what tomorrow holds!!!

Good Morning!

Today is their DHS day!!

Last night they went swimming at SAB and it wasn't crowded! That's really good news.

Hoping it's that way this morning for the TSM stampede...

good to hear!! I was wondering if the pool opened in time for them...Glad they enjoyed it! I looked at the easy schedule for her days,...it's a 5 all week-not bad, but not super slow,...HS was recommended,..not the first choice, but decent...I am sure she will manange--it's her favorite park and she knows how to navigate it! LOL!! I just wish that TSMM moved a little faster..i think they made a few changes to the queue so that should help....
wonder how her weather has been? Do you know if she has had any rain?

Looks like I missed all the pre-game action, but I am in time for the updates! The best part!!

I remembered that Shelly left right before me, so I figured I would pop in and tell them to have a great trip... but I didn't realize she was already gone! I hope they are having a great time and that the crowds thin out for them a bit!!

Good Morning Shelly's PTR peeps!

I talked to our girl for a long time yesterday afternoon... she sounded relaxed and happy!

Ms Thang had been to DHS yesterday morning at RD. They had a great time with low crowds until the afternoon when she said it started to get crowded so they went back to the BC. She sent me a pic of some yummy looking caramel and chocolate popcorn and I was totally Jealous.

She said it is humid and warm- possibly worse than August. I said it's probably just that last year she had all summer to get acclimated to the warm temps before her trip and this year she's just coming out of winter. In 2010 when we went in May I experienced the same feeling.


So on today's schedule they will be in....... The Magic Kingdom!

Not sure if they were going to make RD or not b/c they've been getting up pretty early every day. She will update me later from the parks when she can.

So far I think they are having a really nice trip-- I'm happy for them!

I think you could be right about it just seeming hotter since your not use to it. I know we use to go every year for Easter and it would still be in the 30-40 here so those 80 temps felt like 100 to us. Glad to hear they were able to enjoy SAB and a low crowd morning at DHS.

Hey Jodi!! thanks for keeping us posted! I know she was looking forward to some warmth, but humidity is a whoooole 'nother ballgame! I am glad that they had a good HS day!! I am sure she'll be going back at least once before the end of the week! today is the Most Recommended day on Josh's site!! So, here's hoping it's slower today!! I wonder how the renos are coming along!! Maybe she can snag some good pics of it all for us..

That is great! I am so glad they have been able to work around the crowds! I feel for her on the humidity though. That's my number one gripe about living in the South. I hate that sticky air!! Sounds like a good excuse to spend every afternoon at SAB to me!

And I think you are right about not being used to the heat at the beginning of the season. The first hot days in the spring always seem worse to me than the heat at the end of summer. By then I've just given up all hope and surrendered to it!

Good Morning!!

Hope everyone's week is going good!

Honestly I'm in withdrawals from talking to Shelly all day every day so if anyone wants to take over that position in the interim, feel free to PM me and entertain me. I need a someone to keep me straight.


I haven't talked to her yet this morning so I'll update you on her yesterday:

At almost 10 am she texted saying she was still at the BC.... and was sick.

Before she left for the trip DS10 had started a cough. Then DS13 started with it I think the day they left. By Monday both she and her DH had the cough. And then yesterday it was full blown and she felt awful.

So instead of hitting RD at the MK, they instead went to the pool and she was hoping the sun would make her feel better.
It must have b/c in the afternoon they headed to the MK and then stayed for Wishes!!

They had supper at Tony's-- and I'm not gonna say if they liked it or not. You'll have to wait for the TR.


This morning I'm waiting to hear from her- they were supposed to be in Epcot today, possibly at RD.

I'm hoping she is all better this morning!

Sad to hear everyone was sick but glad they felt better later in the day

I am curious to see what they thought about Tony's. Not sure they would be fans of the sauce there. I can hear her posting that the sauce was "funky"

Oh no! Being sick on vacation is the absolute pits! I sure hope it was just a passing thing and they felt better quickly. We had that happen on our first trip. I have some pretty hefty allergy problems and cigarette smoke is a major trigger. Well we had to stop at a rest area on the way to FL and there were a couple of ladies chain smoking in the bathroom. And it was a small bathroom! It was horrible! And of 'course, that was the very time that my DD had to spend 20 minutes in there doing her business! Anyway, I ended up with a huge allergy flair with a sore throat, cough, stuffy sinuses, the whole nine yards for most of that trip! It sucked! I pushed on and kept going though. Hopefully Shelly can do the same. Sending well wishes for good health!


That's the best I can do to entertain you Jo! Sorry, my stories just aren't as interesting as yours!

Oh no! That is really upsetting to hear. I knew her boys had been under the weather (we had talked when I was sick) but I sure hoped she and her DH wouldn't get sick. I hope she feels better soon! Good to hear she was able to go to MK last night. About the weather.....it has been pretty dang hot here for the past several days. And humid, too. It's just barely May!! That's too early, and I'm afraid a bad sign of what we are in for. Thanks for keeping us up-to-date Jodi!
