Anyone thinking about a March trip?

although I think I might wait and do a Spring Break '07 cruise (my first passion) but I agree the airfare is terrible.

Trying.....Thinking :confused3 to plan a trip to WDW march 26- 30th.
Not sure if it's going to happen ( probly not) we would have to save real hard to pull together a trip,- we only could do a cash trip if we could muster it all together.( sadly, i had been trying to muster a trip for a year already and i alwyas get shot down)
I am also afraid to go in march for fear of spring breakers.....We were to wdw in early december last year and are now SPOILED by low crowds :Pinkbounc
but i am going to keep watching the Dis, and keep my eye on the prize ::MickeyMo and hope it turns out!
IF we can go we will most likely end up offsite....CR is the ONLY on property place we will stay and thats a cry in the dark this time :rotfl: :rotfl:

happy planning...!!!!!!!!

We are booked for March 10th-17th. First 2 nights at Pop and next 5 at OKW.

We will be there March 18-25. My DH, DS and family. There will be 7 us and we are staying at POFQ this time to off set the high airfare. We only have one place to fly out of and that's Denver, Co. and we drive 4 hours for that!! The airfare is costing me over $3000 but I had to bite the bullet because my grandson goes to college next year and may not be able to go with us anymore. I bought our airfare in August and it is higher now. With only one airport I can't take the chance of waiting for the last minute or there may be nothing!!! Also, I don't like to waste a whole day flying around. I like to go non-stop. Anyway, we are excited and ready. Planned a trip to Branson at X-Mass but may have to cancel as I tore a ligament in my left knee and will be needing surgery. Have to be healed up for Disney!!!! :cool1:

I just do not know how we are going to spring for that HUGE airfare...

hmmmm....12 days...

I guess we could drive???

Stop in TN to see my family...

I would love to do that...

That is what we do. We drive from NE Kansas and stop in Nashville to stay with my parents overnight and then continue. They are about 12 hours from WDW. We have driven everytime but the first. Mainly because my DS is terrified to fly and DD cries everytime we take off and land (something with her ears and chewing gum doesn't help). So we just drive. By stopping over at mother's there is no hotel in the middle and we get to visit them for a short while. Sometimes we even plan it so that they caravan with us down to WDW for a vacation themselves!

We would have to go during summer or holiday (I teach) and I don't know if DH could get that time off to drive, that is 4 days of driving for the trip...6 nights....that is 10 days minimum...

We used to do that when I was a kid, with my parents...of course, they were cheap and we never got more than a couple days at the MK...had been to WDW 3 times with them and only did MK!!!
this was in the early 90's so I know EPCOT was around and probably MGM...

We have reservations at WLV for March 27 - March 30. I rented DVC points and paid $550. This is our first ever trip, we are so excited. This is my new favorite website and I live here now, LOL.

HI HAVE FUN!

Hi all! I am one of those still in the "planning" stages. Haven't actually booked anything yet....just looking around. We're thinking of going in March or in April - we are VERY flexible with dates. When is Spring Break exactly? Is it for the entire month of March? Does it extend into April as well? We'd like to go during a slow time, but don't want to wait until May... If you could pick a week in March or April, what would it be? :)

First week of March or last week of April

Depending on the part of the country, there are spring break weeks all of March and April. Easter is April 16 in 2006, so middle of April will be crazy busy.

We are going on our spring break March 11-19. I think this is also the week at least some of the Orlando area schools have off.

the last time I looked that was the spring breaks for both Orlando and Kissimmee - I will look again and get back to you.

It was probably the busiest time I have ever been in the parks.

Thanksgiving was a walk in the park compared to it.

What is the status of Cheerleaders :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: invading WDW during this time? Will they make resort-life crazy? (We're staying at Pop)

Am I thinking of a March trip? I think I'm thinking of a November, December, January, February, March, April, May....(sigh) don't know when we'll go back but we did love our March trip last year ;)

Soupermom, I read somewhere the cheerleaders would be there the first part of the month.

Lizzybee, when in March did you go last year? We are going for the first time in March and I think Orlando is out for Spring Break. Wondered if it would be awfully crowded.

Xraydave, Why green after the 17th of March? Just thought I'd better find out since we'll be there the 18-25.

The "official" color of the Disboards is lime green. If you wear it while you're at WDW you migh run into a fellow Diser!

Count us in March 10 15, just made reservation on SW. I guess I better call MICKEY and make a reservation, don;t know where we will be staying...

Xraydave, right!! I forgot about that!! I do have my lime green Mickey's from Home Depot's paint center to stick on my door!!! :rotfl2:
