Anyone think there will be a FP type thing for the Christmas processional ?

Just curious, since there are FP for other fireworks and parades.

I doubt it. I think the lack of a FP+ for the Candlelight Processional drives people (like me) to book the dining package instead. I'd love it if FP+ existed for CP... we'd save on dinner! :earsgirl:

The dining package really takes up alot of the seats. If they did FP+ then it would basically kill stand by unless they only did a handful.

I thought perhaps like for the parades, maybe a hundred or so per show.

Just hoping.

They DID offer same-day tickets (wristbands) last year for at least some of the CP shows.

Guests who showed up at the American Gardens Theater about 1PM, or so, were offered tickets
to that night's shows.

I don't know if that will continue this year, or not.

Candlelight Processional dinner package is only sure way you will get a seat. If you don't want to do that , I can understand that. I would advise you to get in stand by line 60-90 minutes before show you which to see. If you do that I think you will get seat(s) for show. What narrator is performing will have a big part of number of stand by seating.

I'm really hoping they do that this year.

Yes, we were able to do that last yr and it was wonderful. But with everything going FP, I thought that might be the next level.

I wonder if the number of wrist band given out last yr had anything to do with the number packages bought for THAT day?

We have viewed the show every which way, doing package yrs ago with single dining plan credit, standing in line for an hour or two, getting in with a 20 min wait, the wristband and just standing outside.

Also, if they do offer the wristbands, your whole party has to be present. It's worth a try!

Does anyone know how long the performance is? Trying to decide if I can leave littlest with her daddy in the room that long and take 7...not sure I want to put DH through it if it will be more than 2 hours

I was told by a trainer that there are only about 100-ish seats left for standby after the dining package seating is accounted for, which is why they decided not to offer FP+ for the CP - pretty much nobody would get in on standby if they did. I don't know for sure that this is true, but it's what I was told.

As for the wristbands, I've heard that it will be "considered for certain popular narrators" but that wasn't from a trainer, just CM chatter.

Was at the 5pm show tonight --- we were told no wristbands at all this year

Now, why would Disney offer FP's on such a 'money maker' with the 'required' dinner ressies (to guarantee a seat)!!! :confused3
One thing they're 'not' is crazy when it comes to making more money!!!!

Thank you! I might do that then

Just in case you haven't followed other CP threads, the show is 45 min, but the total time needed to watch it is much, much longer. If you don't have a CP dinner pkg, you'll need to line up at least an hour before the show you want to see and maybe longer depending on the narrator. AND you may not make it into the show. Reports from yesterday's first CP is there are only a few rows (maybe 100 seats) for guests without the dining package. So if you're in the standby line for the 5:00 show and the standby seats fill up, you'll have to wait through that show to see if you can get into the next one.

You can hear the show and see some of it from the walkway behind the theater or the outside tables just across the way at Liberty Inn. That's becoming a pretty well known "secret" so you may have to stake your claim on one of the tables pretty early as well.
