Anyone Staying Awake For S/P/D?

Okay, so I'm coming up with $2324 for WL courtyard 4 nights/5 days on Orbitz (which is including using the Review15 code). Do I need to order from Orbitz to get that price, or can I wait and order directly through Disney for the same amount later in the morning, assuming that room type is still available?
The extra 15% is only available through Orbitz. You can't get it booking through Disney.

Also, resorts that aren't eligible for the Disney discounts might be available on Orbitz with the 15% off. For example, the Little Mermaid rooms at AoA are eligible for the 15% discount on Orbitz, but they aren't via Disney. Others might be, too. Also, it looks like some resorts might have more or less of a discount than Disney, so it's worth checking. AoA, for example, is showing up as "up to 40% off" for our March dates (but I didn't price it out since we're not staying there, so I can't confirm that).

From what I've learned on the boards, it looks like the big differences between booking through Disney and Orbitz are:

1. Have to pay in full at booking, but can cancel 5 days prior, just like Disney.
2. If you book online, they'll charge you if you have more than two people to a room. However, if you call them and add your children to your reservation over the phone, they won't charge you.
3. The Orbitz reservations are room-only, so you won't be able to add dining plan.

We used Orbitz at Disneyland this summer with great success.

I was not charged extra for having 3 in our room, booking through Orbitz. Edited - at least I don't think I was ....

Thank you so much for the information!! I didn't know that about adding the kids; I guess that explains why Orbitz's per night charge seemed higher than their advertised discount.

Orbitz was saying WL was 20% off, but on here I'd read that the deluxes are 30% for RO, so that was throwing me off on whether Disney will offer a better deal if I wait until the morning. The discount code from Orbitz brings their offer down more, but then they also charge extra fees for service, so it's tricky figuring out which is actually better without seeing the numbers on Disney's page to compare. :scratchin

I'm afraid you might have been. I just looked at the same room for 2 adults, and it was $50 less per night than when I ran that room for 2 adults and 2 kids. So I guess they automatically charge an extra $25/pp each night? They asked my kids ages to determine pricing, and they're only 5 and 1, so it seems really weird that it would cost extra to keep a 1 year old in the same room.

Can I still add the kids by phone if I book through Orbitz? Because that's a difference of $200, so it would definitely be cheaper to wait and just go through Disney directly if not.

Yes, you are correct. It looks like they tacked on an extra $73 for my daughter

According to other DISers, you should be able to add your kids for free over the phone without a problem. Here's a link to a thread specifically about booking with Orbitz where that topic comes up a lot:

I just priced it out on orbitz and it's showing theme park view as cheaper then lake view at the contemporary. Do you think that's a mistake??

Well this was a letdown :( I guess I need to get my kids up for school. Then park it on the phone before 7.

So I have a POR royal room , 14 nights for 1930,40$. ... should I book or wait for Disney?

I'm not sure. I usually get on the phones a few minutes before and sit on hold until 7, but that's a really good idea!
