We leave in a few days and I was just wondering if we needed to bring things like toilet paper, trash bags, laundry and dish detergent.

We stayed there in May and Dina is wonderful to deal with...townhome is exactly as the photos are on the website. There is a sundry shop on site at WH if you forget anything at the grocery store (Publix right down 192). We bought toilet paper, gargabe bags and dishwashing liquid only to find there was a decent supply already there. We just used what was there and then left our stuff that we bought. Have a great time:thumbsup2

Thanks for replying.....I'm glad to hear that everything was so nice. We can't wait to get there.

We just got back on sunday from 10 days at Mickey's World 1. This was our second X-mas there. It really is a beautiful and very clean townhome. There are plenty of towels and the kitchen is very well stocked.

I think the availability of things like toilet paper varies due to what the last guests left behind. For us there was a whole box of garbage bags, plenty of dishwasher detergent and sink soap. There was only one roll of toilet paper per bathroom so we had to buy more and one roll of paper towels.

Our only complaint (and I will email Dina about it today) was that one of the beds in the upstairs themed bedroom had a boxspring that was so squeaky it could not be slept on. It wasn't that big a deal as we just put the mattress on the floor and everyone slept fine. Ironically, that was our only complaint last year as well. I think that last year they replaced the other box spring that was already bad, but left this one, because the other box spring was much newer. This one has clearly bit the dust in the past year.

We've really loved out stays there and our kids swam every single day in the splash pool. I think we only made it over to the big pool once this trip.

I emailed Dina and Larry after my last post and have already heard back from them. They are going to get the box spring replaced.

Does it actually only take 5 minutes to get to WDW from the townhouse? How long would you say it takes to get from the room to the Magic Kingdom? We are considering staying there on our next trip but are concerned about the hassle of staying off-site, getting back to the room quickly, etc. The townhouse looks so neat, though!

I would say that it takes 5 minutes to get from the townhome to Disney property, which is different from actual time to the parks. Animal Kingdom is the closest, Epcot and HS about the same, MK the farthest. Traffic lights and time of day probably play a factor when people are stating how long it took to get to a specific park. I'd probably say 10 minutes to pulling into a parking spot at AK, maybe 5-10 minutes longer to the others, again depending on various factors.

But, I'm also certain that WH is closer to the parks then some of the onsite resorts. Assuming a rental car (which you would definitely want), the drive is very easy. We went back to the townhome everyday for a mid-day break and swim. I kind of feel like I've been spoiled. We've had 3 trips now offsite, the last 2 in a 3 br/3 bath home with it's own little pool and a washer and dryer. I can't even imagine doing a 10 day trip in a hotel room.

If money wasn't an issue I'd love to rent points for a onsite DVC 2 bedroom. But since it would cost at least double, maybe more, we'll stick with whats working for us.

I'm happy to answer any other questions.
