Best place of the two or where to stay within the resorts?

If you're looking for the better of the two, I think its a toss-up. CH is older and smaller than Grande Vista and has a more laid-back atmosphere. However, they both have great pool areas and the activities are very similar between the two. My preference is for Cypress Harbour, but we're happy to stay at either (and will be staying at each on consecutive weeks next winter) - they are outstanding resorts.

If you're looking for the best place to stay within these resorts...
Both resorts are finishing refurbishment of the villa units, so if they aren't finished yet when you go you should request a refurbished unit just because they're nicer (many of the old units are still very nice, though). At Cypress Harbour I'd ask for a unit with a water view and if you can designate a particular building the two girls might like to be near the activity center that's located at the west end of the lake (buildings 62 and 63) or near the main pool area (buildings 52 and 53 are on either side of the reservation center and main pool) or buildings 64 and 65 which are near the island pool area.
At Grande Vista I'd think you'd be very happy if you can stay in one of the new buildings that are across the lake from the reservation center - buildings 77,78,79,84,85 and 86. Buildings 79 and 84 are on either side of the new pool area.
