the old mickey bars where only the ears were covered in chocolate? The face was vanilla ice cream with chocolate ice cream eyes an mouth? I miss the old stuff.
You can actually buy those at SuperWalmart. At least you can here in Kansas City. We bought a box this week in honor of our upcoming trip (9 days). My son hates ice cream, but loves to watch us (mom, dad sister) eat the Mickey bars. They had the chocolate coating on the ears only, and then the face was vanilla, with chocolate details for the face.
I look forward to trying the Mickey Bars at Disney.
Ive seen them sold at supermarkets as well. U have to admit tho. The Mickey premium bars are soo yummy. Just plain vanilla covered in regular chocolate. I think its the touch of Disney and the shape of Mickeys that make them extra good.
I remember when they had Goofy bars, too. Those were my DH's favorite............ice cream, covered in caramel, and then covered in chocolate . They were also reincarnated for a while, but under another name (maybe Pocahontas, but with chocolate ice cream). They were yummy, but probably packed a day's allotment of sugars, fats, and calories !
Where, oh where did they go...............
I remember! I preferred these ones, the ones now have waaay too much chocolate. The Simba's Paw Print (only at Animal Kingdom) is sort of similar, minus the chocolate. I really like those! Is it a problem that I know the name of different types of ice cream at Disney?
I like the new ones too, but there is always a fondness for things you grew up with. There also used to be these lemonade ( I think ) bars and they had this thin coating of something on them to keep them from melting too quickly. Anyone, anyone?
