I'm not sure but I'll wait until the DVD comes out either way.

No. I have no interest in re-living that day. I greatly admire the people who were on that plane, but I don't need to watch a movie to understand what they went through or honor them.

I am confused by this because there was a TV movie a few months ago that was on and was called 'United 93.' Is it the same movie? If so, I DVR'd it and hesitated as to whether or not I wanted to watch it, but I did, and it made me SO SAD for like 3 days straight. I didn't want my fiance to leave my side. I was the same way when September 11 happened and it brought it all back again. It just scared me and made it really hit home that your entire life can change so severely in just an instant. However, from a theatrical standpoint I thought it was well made.

My sentiments exactly.

No way. I am forced to relive that day in too many other ways. There's no way I'm watching a movie about it.

No. I've had a hard enough time reading the newspaper the last few weeks. It's been heartbreaking. :sad2:

Couldn't have said that better myself! No, I won't be watching it. Living through that once in a lifetime is more than enough.

I feel the same way.

the written transcripts released from the cockpit voice recorder last week were more than enough. I don't need to see hollywood's version of it, the thought sickens me.

I think that was on A&E and called "Flight 93." I believe it was one of their highest rated programs ever.

I recently saw the previews at the theater, both my husband and I were in tears...Now in saying that, we have not forgotten what happened that day and will never forget, I cannot see this movie in the theater, way too upsetting for me.

I will definitely watch this movie opening weekend. And I go to maybe one movie every 2-3 years. As painful as it may be, I think most Americans need to see this movie. For those of you who lost loved ones, you don't need a movie to remind you of that day. But I fear millions of Americans have forgotten (to some degree) how they felt that day.

Also, I understand that the movie is as accurate as possible. The surviving families all have signed off on it, and it's not a "Hollywood version." Therefore, I think we can all learn something and be uplifted by the actions of these brave people.

I am glad it is not a Hollywood version of what happened that day..

I also do not need to see this movie right now....I will never, never forget the happenings of that day and waiting for my husband to come home from Boston and worrying about my children all the while watching on the TV, the constant watching and crying.

But for those who have forgotten 9/11, maybe it is good that this movie has come out at this time. I will see it, but in my home, no way I could do it at the theater.

Very well said.

I'll see it. I'm interested to know more about the specifics of that flight - though I'd rather see more information in the form of a documentary and not a dramatized motion picture.

I don't think anyone in the US has forgotten what happened on 9/11 - or doesn't still feel sadness when they think about it. So I don't think that it's only for people who "don't remember". We all remember. But it can be a good thing to look at an event such as this with fresh perspective.

nope. we were at a movie the other day and the trailer came on. i leaned over to dh and said - who do they think is going to watch this???

I agree. Should be a documentary not a Michael Bay type action movie.

You're right it should be a Michael Moore half truth documentary. :rolleyes1

When you hear action movie I think of movies like the Matrix. I don't think Flight 93 is a movie like that. I think it is more like a Drama type of movie. I will go see it, because the families gave the :thumbsup2 , so at least it should be close to the truth.
