Anyone own a Dell Axim

I wanted to buy one of these but ONLY if I got use it to send a receive text messages on AIM (AOL Instant Messaging). I noticed some handhelds that are sold by Cell phone companys specifically state AOL, YAHOO MESSENGER. The Dell Axim does not......Should I assume thats a mini PC and that anything i can get in a real pc i can get on the Axim?

I have had an AXIM pda for about a year and a half, really like it. I only uuse it for calendar, contacts, and every so often, Internet use. Not really sure about your questions there, but for my use it is great.
