Anyone notice the Fantasy is still in Nassau?

We are at home watching the Fantasy in Nassau on PTZtv. They were scheduled to leave at 5:15pm local time, but are still waiting. Normally I'd say they were giving the crew a night on the town, but there has been a lot of truck and fork lift activity all evening in the forward gangway. Does anyone have friends aboard that knows what they've been told? Thanks!

Any weather in the area? Our captain on Dream kept us in there until around midnight so the meals and shows could go without people dealing with the ship moving quite a bit. We were going to CC the next day so he had plenty of time.

Hi! We’re currently on the Fantasy and it seems from what I’ve heard anyway is that there is some type of mechanical issue. Last night they said that we were staying here until 8pm and made up excuses why and now it’s almost 11 and we’re still here. They say we’ll leave about 3:30 am.

Thanks for your info! I thought there were an awful lot of trucks and activity around the ship, even during the storm. Here's wishing you smooth sailing for the rest of the trip! :)

Ships. been having a tough go lately, since her 2017 dry dock it's been nothing but trouble.

Hi! Found out yesterday that we stayed in Nassau late because they were working on the propulsion system. Also, fun fact is that the DCL president was sailing with us this time 😊 Many people we knew from our cruise group had the opportunity to meet him or sat near his family at dinner. If I saw him I didn’t know LOL

Just got off this cruise today as well and was hoping someone here posted as to why we stayed late in Nassau. I would have booked an excursion had I realized we were staying late. The good thing was we had the fireworks the last night of the cruise after the Til We Meet Again party which was held up on deck.

We just got off the 3 day as well. We heard 4 different reasons from cast/crew about why were staying in Nassau later than scheduled...the last one we talked to said we’d be staying until we’ll after midnight (this was shortly before 11:00pm) and next thing we knew, we were pulling away from the dock. The vibration was really bad while eating in Animators last night on the way back to PC.

The concierge host said it was a maintenance issue that was being worked on and we ended up leaving not long after 11 pm.

We saw the captain meeting some folks in the lounge while we were docked in Nassau. We later were told it was some high level execs with Disney.

We were on this cruise in cabin 7091, all the way aft, vibrations on first night out of PC were pretty bad. I thought from Castaway back to PC they were a bit less so maybe they did work on issue.
