I'm moving from Los Angeles to Orlando in May (basically from Disneyland to Disneyworld). DL is open late on the weekends and during the week during peak times, so I'm used to being able to go to DL for an hour or two after work sometimes and late at night on the weekends. I've noticed that the WDW parks arent open nearly as late. Can anyone tell me how quickly you are able to get in and out of the WDW parks. I have DL down to a science; where to park, how quickly it takes me to get from my door to main street including parking and walking..etc. Anyone have any advice? We will be living about 10 miles from the park, anyone else?

I live about 10 minutes away, and also work at AK. Epcot and MGM are both relatively easy to get in and out of....MK takes a bit of an effort though as you have to park your car and then use Disney Transportation (Monorail or Ferry boat) to get to the main gates. AK, of course, closes the earliest, might not make it in time if coming after work

Welcome to the Dis Safetybar:earsboy: I would echo the advice of Pandypaws. Please let us know any shortcuts you learn, and all the best on your cross-country move:earsboy:

Thanks, Im psyched about moving to Florida. After living in LA for a few years and not being "discovered", it's time to leave the traffic and crowds. Yes I said LEAVE THE TRAFFIC AND CROWDS in reference to moving to Orlando. Disney is a centering point for me, and now I plan on immersing myself in it. Anyone hiring? Solid experience and a bachelors degree in psych (honors). I need a job there!

You might want to check out the pay scales for that Bachelor's degree in the mental health/social services fields in Florida. ;)
Florida pay is low, especially in that area.
