Anyone know who rented MK tonight?

Personally I think I would just rather pay for a magic ticket that would move me to the front of the line for everything instead of the whole park to myself, I think that would be kind of boring. That being said, lord only knows what I'd do if I had that much money :rolleyes1
I guess I don't understand the big fuss about alcohol though, it is served at DHS and Epcot. :hippie:

And AK...one of my fondest memories of AK is not the Safari or Everest, it's getting stuck at the bar where the parade ran by so we were forced to order a second round and watch the parade from the bar. There are worse things in life and far worse ways to spend a Friday afternoon.

Not really a big fuss, it's just that the "No Alcohol" rule at MK was Walt's rule. I guess it's only enforced during regular operating hours, not when the park is rented out for a private function.

Disney closes early for Grad Night, Night of Joy and others...

But not at 5:00.

I don't know if this was the case last weekend but in the past I've heard that if they had a really early closing they allowed park hopping on a non-park hopping ticket if you entered the early closing park first.

Club 33 was Walt's idea and it serves alcohol during park hours to members in Disneyland.

First one in 2001 was good (great) :thumbsup2, 2nd one in 2002 :scared1:

:rotfl2:, let me guess, a lot of egotistical, very opinionated and never wrong people showed up and showed out?:rotfl:

For sure....I LOVE the DAWA Bar!:thumbsup2

I just think this is so wrong. You can say all you want that Disney is a business and that is all well and good but the point of that "business" is to have guests there and I don't consider business people in this type of scenario to be guests. These people could have come to an event that started at an hour that would not impact the thousands of people who plan their vacations around limited vacation time, school vacations, etc. These people are there for work and at least in my world, work is not scheduled for my convenience or to inconvenience others. I can just see me trying to tell my boss to make sure my work hours are more convenient! lol I just don't buy it. These people could have come at 8PM after a 7PM closing and park sweep and no one would have cared at all.

I'm really fed up to *here* with money talking and the size of the checkbook ruling the world. Our money is good enough for Disney unless a better offer comes along? What a joke.....

Most CM's (especially ones willing to "gab") are ill informed...from my experience.

On a side note...I would venture to think that anyone rich enough to rent the entire MK for an evening would be someone far out of the "star status" and paparazzi loop, and more into the "real rich people" circle.

People just don't rent out the parks. We were there one year and they had closed CRT to all patrons that morning because someone had rented out the entire restaurant for their daughter's 1st birthday party! :wizard:

:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2: or :eek::eek::eek::eek:
Can you imagine the weddings expectation???
People are CRAZY and yes, I am shouting:lmao::lmao::lmao:
We were at MK many years ago and all of a sudden this girl, obviously a bride came down Main Street in that Cinderalla Globe thing and they had closed off all the entrances and exits to Main Street, we were so annoyed, then she was taking pictures near the castle, it was awful for the families who were trying to even maneuver around....Guess if you have the $$$, thats what talks! At least we were not kicked out of the park!

Yes, me too, a little:offtopic:but I was there too! ;)
That guy was funny and a little scary! Did you see how he lunged at the 2 little girls? I wonder where the parents were.:confused3 I would have had a huge problem with that! The video cuts off just before he walked up and threw a handful of money on the stage, too hysterical.
If you watch to the end, he's fishing around in his pockets for the money.

HAHA!! How did I miss that!? He was certainly entertaining to watch:rotfl2:

My company hosts a user convention the week after Thanksgiving every year. Probably 4 or 5 years ago it was in Orlando - we had most of the Swan and Dolphin rented out because of the convention space (7500+ users attended.) We rented out DHS (MGM then) one night - I think we went in at 7? There was free beer, wine, and food set up all over the park. They had most attractions closed - Star Tours, RnRC, and ToT were the only attractions open, and they had a special showing of Phantasmic just for us. It was pretty cool, a bunch of computer geeks riding RnRC over and over again while slightly inebriated...I'd love to do it again.

I dream of being able to have MK all to myself with whoever I choose to bring with me! Wouldn't that be one of the most awesome experiences imaginable. Yes, I'm green with envy! But, if I hit the lotto, I'll definitely consider wasting some of it on an extravagant event that that :)

You have my hopes up for the IBM Special Event! I hope this is what it turns out to be except I want TSM instead of ST please!!
