Was wondering does anyone know when they stopped having the Easter Parade and why they stopped it.?
I was just sitting here thinking about all the years our family went to WDW for Easter. I have so many fond memories of stakeing out "our spot" on Main St for hours ahead of time to watch the Easter Parade. One year my son who was 10 or 11 at the time got the thrill of his life, Regis Philbin came up and talked to him
It was such a special time of the year to visit WDW back then since they did the televised Easter Parade on Easter Sunday made fighting off the huge crowds somehow worth it.

My guess is it has been 8 or 10 years since it was televised.

Why did they stop it? I'm sure it's very expensive to produce and probably was not getting enough viewers. I'm surprised they still show the Christmas Parade with all the cutbacks.

1999 was the last year the parade was on TV. But even then, they reused the footage from 1998 but with different announcers.

They have dropped the expense of creating and airing the show.

They put all of the energy and expense into the Christmas Parade show.

Ratings show that many more people are watching TV on/at Christmas than on/at Easter.
