It can't be that hard, right? How do I make it at home to save myself some money?

Thanks!

(I'm nearing the bottom of my caramel iced coffee from McDonalds and really wishing I had another...)

LOL... we brew it. Let it cool, and put in the fridge... when ready to use it we just add ice and creamer... I do it all the time. The 'trick" is, IMO, LOT AND LOTS of ice when ready to drink it.

I just make coffee in a french press & let it cool. Then you add what you like & pour over ice.

I just make the coffee hot with whatever flavorings I like - then pour over ice. Not sure if I'm doing it the right way, but tastes good to me.

Don't pour it (hot) over ice. It will water it down a lot and it won't taste very good.

Brew it, then chill it, *then* pour it over ice!

Make the coffee a little stronger than normal. The ice will water it down.

You can get flavored syrups at your grocery store too.

i make a pot of decaf dunkin donuts coffee, let it cool, pour it over some ice, add a bit of half & half, chill (no sugar added)

when i pour a glass, i might add a splash of flavored Torani syrup (either almond, cheesecake, eggnog or almond roca)

cheaper than starbucks any day!!!

Do you put milk in it?

I drink my coffee black so I don't know anything about creamers and sugar. I need remedial help.

A friend in New Orleans makes the best iced coffee and told me her tricks of the trade.

She uses coffee concentrate (available in refrigerator section at Whole Foods and other stores). Big, big cup filled with ice - about 1/4 coffee concentrate and the rest skim milk. Add flavorings to taste.

Are us saying "one fourth" of it should be concentrate? That sound very expensive.

We always have cold (old) coffee in the pot here. I use Coffee Mate's flavored creamer(hazelnut) and add to taste. Add lots of ice. I usually have to warm the coffee a little if I use powdered creamer. It's yummy, the ones at Mickey D's are yummy, too. they are what got me hooked to ice coffee. :goodvibes

They are evil! My DH is really getting tired of not being able to drive past a McDonalds.

For the record, I like the Regular flavor

I make and chill the coffee, and then add choc milk, over lots of ice.

I buy ready-made frappuccino or coffee-flavored drinks (in the bottles or containers) and I add it to shaved ice.

This is how I make a large batch:

Brew Coffee and then let cool
Pour into a drink container that can be kept in the fridge
Add milk or creamer
Add sugar or sugar substitute if needed (some flavored creamers are already sweetened)
Shake and serve!!!

***This can be kept in the fridge a day or two.

If I want just a glass I basically do the same thing.

I get those too, but they're too sweet for me straight. So I take 2 cups of (strong) cold coffee and mix it with one bottle. That usually lasts me two days.

BTW, I guess I am in the minority. I'm not a fan of McDonald's iced coffee.
I've never tried it, but I love Starbuck's Frappuccinos. I need to find a way to replicate those. My blender doesn't cut it.
